It’s been enough games now to admit that Fizdale is a trash coach :yeshrug:
He finessed being the cool guy on the bench during the Heatles run into millions of guaranteed money
They should give him to the end of the year imo and see if he can at least have them playing hard and looking well coached by then

Any time Marcus Morris is your 1st or 2nd option you're gonna stink.:yeshrug: Don't matter if the coach is Fizdale or Auerbach.
To be honest, Marcus hasn't been too bad: he's been productive and efficient on offense, and at the very least playable on defense (which you can't say for any of the other 4s/5s on the team, except for Robinson). He's most definitely guilty of trying to do too much, instead of letting the younger guys develop, but you'd rather the ball in his hands than Julius'.

What did the Knicks anticipate that they would accomplish this season? That roster Coach Fiz has I thought was just for culture building with young player development and instilling a tough hard nosed no backdown culture being the goal.
Basically setting the standard for a return of the grit and grind or old school Knicks teams...

but a blind man could see they weren’t a threat for a playoff seed.

signed:
Julius Randle (PF)
Marcus Morris (PF/C)
Bobby Portis (C/PF)
Taj Gibson (PF/C)
Reggie Bullock (SF/SG)
Wayne Ellington (SG)
Elfrid Payton (PG)

Already had:
RJ (SG playing PG)
Kevin Knox (SF/PF)
Frank N (I have no clue)
Dennis Smith (PG)
Mitchell Robinson (C)
Alonzo Trier (SG)
Dotson (SG/SF)
Ole dude from Michigan

when I see this roster I see a hodgepodge of parts with very few fits. more than half the roster is damn near PF/C and very little shooting and playmaking...What is it they thought they would
Do? If they don’t play bully ball.

I thought Fizdale got a raw deal in Memphis but his tenure on the Knicks is going to kill his career as a head coach, the Knicks have flaws but they look very lackadaisical on the court, they aren't playing hard and whatever Fizdale is doing in the locker room isn't resonating.

Randle needs supervision. Robinson or Gibson should be on the floor with him at all times. Porter can come off the bench for him.

Free throws is really killing us.

We also need more scoring, DSJ can't defend for shyt but we need his offense.

RJ needs space to work, and should get a chance to run the offence when Frank is on the bench.

More then anything they need consistency. You can't have a guy play 30 minutes 1 game and sit the next.
