The distinction has always been kind of stupid.

Not going to act all high and mighty about folks using the word nikka because I'm not going to lie and say I get offended when I heard Richard Pryor was saying it or the numerous rap artists I've listened to it said it. I think it would be better if it wasn't said at all but I'll be honest, its not on my priority list. If some racist decides to call me a ******, there will be a problem off top like always but I never was a fan of black folks using the word so causally either.


Yep. Richard finally acknowledge it and stopped using the N word. He explained this.

Old nikkas use the word c00n all the time but not in the same context that we do. "I'm a old c00n. I can't hang."

The entire South. My first time hearing it was in Mississippi. There is literally no difference between ****** and c00n so to think we could retain one slur but not the other is not logical.
We used to call each other c00ns back when I was coming up. Like if somebody did something dumb or was a lame we’d call them a wild c00n. I need some fellow Baltimore brehs to verify this
