There are plenty of neighborhoods in in Raleigh, Charlotte, and around ATL where black families live in complete suburban bliss
Maybe I read it wrong but I saw your post as saying dominicans in the u.s.a. Have no problem with being in little apartments cramped up as long as they have a job and some food because its worse where they come from. To me that is disrespectful towards dominicans because its basically saying they are low hope havingbpeople and that is nonsense. Of course they want better then what you described but who the hell wouldnt, whuch is why it made no sense to me.
Blacks in america used to live just like you described but they worked their way out of it through education and fighting for what they are.owed. People have this idea that you are supposed to just work and ignore the leople in power who are stealing and not circulating money. The sad part in that thinking is being that children of immigrants are now citizens they will need to learn in america just working for cheap for long hours is not going to cut it, you need to hold these corporations and the government responsible in how they effect your community and do with your tax dollars.
When that happens I think this idea that blacks just complain and want handouts will die. The middle class is getting smaller as the years go by and your tax dollars arent helping make your life easier. I want to.see what all these people who think working 80 hours a week and you will have a good life are going to do when they realize they were.tricked.

If some immigrants claim they work harder, have more unity, and are better thinkers then U.S. citizensa and specifically African Americans, why dont they use these qualities in their homeland and have a situation like the U.S. there?. If there is so much unity why do the rich keep doing things that hurt the rest of the people.
African Americans had the same situation and changed things around for themselves so that their lives could be better as well as others and were a minority in this country. Blacks used to live in horrible conditions even in recent times such as the 70's and part of the 80's. At that times.it was just certain areas but back in the day it was almost all blacks living horribly. Do people know the history of this country?.

You need to read up on what's going on around the world and specifically where these immigrants are coming from.
If someone was so successful in their home country, why would they even bother to come here?
I do and more importantly I grew up with them. All coming from different places. I know most dont think like a lot of some of the post in this thread but a lot do. Like I stated previously I guess its narcisissim at work. Most of the time the more segregated people are the more their life is not really what they think it is. They tend to exaggerate things from my experience.

Thats not what they wonder. They wonder why dont they build up their own countries especially when they talk about how much better they are from american citizens. Yeah i understand trade agreements and how it can hurt business in a country but the people who are well off can still find ways to help the citizens have a better quality of life since their money goes far there. I know why essentiallt but a lot of people claim immigrants stick together so why isnt this happening in their homeland?. Why do they make trade agreements that help them get rich while stifling their homeland?. Is it maybe that more successful immifrants tend to be more selfish and thats how they made it big?.lol my point exactly

I completely agree with this as well.
Thats them feast or famine type dudes. Their bank accounts is always overdrawn come time to pay the rent but they got a $200 pair of sneakers on.

It's complicated...
Black Americans have been here in the trenches actually fighting the war. Immigrants are coming in after the war is over and racism and bigotry must be covert.
Since black americans have been here in the war since the beginning...They have suffered casualties in the form of their grandparents being hurt, separated, etc., on down to their parents. So they have dysfunctional families and thus minimum support and structure.
While immigrants are coming over here FRESH not suffering from the Generational side effect of being beaten down and ostracized by their OWN country.
Compare it to a couple having kids while teens and raising them wretched. However the couple continues growing and better themselves. They have more kids when they in their 40 ' and successful.
Of course the 2nd set of kids will be better, they weren't there for the project up bringing.
Also, immigrants weren't raised in our "gotta have" society. They come from nothing, so for the 1st few generations they are fine with nothing. They weren't bombarded with marketing every single day of their life. But notice by the 3rd generation, they fall in line with the rest of the statistics? They begin to be affected by what has affected black americans for hundreds of years.
And let's not get into the advantages immigrants who pass for white have...
