I don't really see the point of this move. They already have a good sg and sf whose skill set fit into the system. I don't think iggy fits that well and hurts the growth of the up and comers.

I don't think they view Klay as a great fit with Curry, he's a good shooter/scorer but Steph was at his best last year when Jack was on the floor with him. When someone else could handle the ball and Steph could basically play the 2 guard at times was when he was most dangerous, them having Iggy out there with him at all times gives them just that.

I'm going to guess Thompson starts, but Barnes could end up starting before the end of the season especially considering how much he was developing, dude was their 2nd best player in the playoffs. You'll see Iguodala running the offense a lot for the Warriors.....

You don't pay somebody over $12 million a year to come off the bench. Not a big fan of this signing honestly. Could have used that money to re-sign your backup PG and PF. What they gonna do at PG now if Steph gets hurt? And if you wanna play Steph off the ball, that means out of Iggy/Barnes/Thompson, two of em are gonna be on the bench.

If Steph gets hurt we play Douglas or Nedovic. Iggy will then move to primary ballhandler.

Iggy is an excellent defender and rebounder, plus with youthful shooters and solid big men, he doesn't have to be the scorer the Nuggets needed in him. If dude avgs 15/6/7 and shoots around 45-46% and 75% from the line he earned his check dudes defense is invaluable for a team like the Warriors, plus he can play well under Mark Jackson, imo.

i feel like getting iggy kinda stifles his(barnes) progression into a full time starting sf, so he'll probably be out in like 2 years

This. And if the warriors are so high on Barnes, why get iggy I'm the first place ? :wtf:

well, he shot 57% from the line last season. that expectation is not exactly realistic.

Toney Douglas?

I got nothing against Iguodala, just don't like the fit in GS, especially since you were already set at SG & SF. Steph goes down for an extended time, this team is done.

Iggy really got that 12mil per hear deal? These GMs/teams are stupid.

I know but he used to be much better, he lost his touch, even if he is somewhere around 65, he'd be much improved.

last year wasn't an aberration, he's been on a steady decline the past 4 seasons.

I was expecting Iggy to get comfortable in Karl's system that was basically tailor-made for his skillset and shoot better from the line, and he ended up having a worse FT% than Javale McGee. :snoop:

If anyone is gonna come off the bench it's gonna be Klay for instant offense. But I think the Igoudala signing was unnecessary and they should have spent that money elsewhere. But I do know that Andre will fit in and adjust to any role that he is given.
