you go from 6th seed to 5th seed, does that really make you a contender in the grand scheme of things?

The warriors will be a little better, but they need a big. Bogut, Biedrins, lee, etc.. isn't going to cut it against the duncans, and howards of the west.

You can't build a team around shooting 3's, you got to be able to get some easy buckets in the playoffs.

We don't have Biedrins anymore fam. That shows how little you know about us. We have Bogut/O'Neil/Ezeli.

Show me 4 teams in the west that has a better starting lineup than us.

they're a top team in the west right now and maybe next year they sign a couple of good players or trade for one during the season (they're still looking to get rid of david lee). building a championship team is a process and iggy is a great piece to add to a core.

You're steps ahead of our breh. He's saying now. I'm merely disputing that GSW, as currently assembled, are the favorites. The only favorites are the reigning champs. But GSW is in the mix. Definitely a legit contender. And Iggy will help. He's a damn good player and his versatility and adaptability will be a huge asset. I just don't know if he puts them over the top. But this is why we play the game. We'll see. Without shame, I'll be riding against them every step of the way because I'm a Nuggets fan and...I'm still a little...salty GSW got my respect for now but I pray we give em that work every single time

We have 2 allstar worthy players. D-Lee and Steph. You're right about the superstar thing. I just believe if you put together enough stars you can exceed teams with a couple of superstars. We're good at every single position, we're the only team in the West that can say that.

Jsmoove is inconsistent and can't shoot. Iggy is a better fit for the Warriors cuz all he has to do is defend the Harden's/Sabo's/Durant's/Kobe's of the west and set up Curry/Klay/Barnes/Dlee on offense.

What's the book on Speights? Haven't really followed this dudes career

Speights is a downgrade from Landry. (Just like Douglas is a major downgrade from Jack).

Speights is only motivated when he gets consistent minutes. Loves to shoot and doesn't play defense. Not very efficient either...not a leader.

Some people on here would have you believing Klay was a lockdown defender.

Only someone crazy would think he's fukkin with iggy.

I don't know why people think this is a bad move. They have depths at the 3 and 4 position, something they lacked last year due to injuries and have solid depth at the C position (Bogut, O'Neal, Speights, Ezeli). Iggy provides them with more consistent perimeter defense, along with Klay who's pretty good too. Plus rebounding and additional scoring if they need it. Scoring will still run through Steph, Klay, Lee and Harrison and Iggy will chip in along with Bogut. If anything, this makes the Warriors a LEGIT contender for the finals next year if everyone can stay healthy. This team has some very solid depth and a great mix of scoring, defense and rebounding. How can anyone think this will be a bad move?

If Gstate is willing to payIggy 12 mil over 4 years, it would have been much wiser of them to pay Jsmooth 14 mil over 4 years. Much better player and he fits that team perfectly

Keyword being CLOSER.

If they're healthy, they'll certainly be better than a 5th seed.

Bogut is sufficient enough for a team to be a contender; good post moves, competent in the cut, works the offensive glass, fluid, doesn't halt the offense etc etc.
