lol nobody forces these nikkas to play football.

do something else if you feel that way

One of these days someone has to break down why posts like this are bullshyt.

1) The obvious long term effects of football only manifest themselves after they play by that time they "can't do something else" because they have bodies and minds that are useless.
2) It's only now are we actively investigating brain injuries and the effects football has on the brain. To this very second the NFL is still denying it.
3) The NFL cooked up their own study denying the link between brain injuries and football; the players were being fed bullshyt by the very men and women in authority up and down the NFL.
4) You have a large number of players from low income, under educated areas, the opportunities are few and far between due to social barriers, sport is one avenue to make a living. So in many cases, if a kid wants to go to college he has to play.

Players of today, from the pros down to the high schools, and retired players have been fukked over.

The NFL is getting away with murder.

The Combine isn't slavery. A person can choose whether they want to participate.

Every player understood the risks of playing football, and we did it, and would do it over again!

We just thought/assumed we would be taken care of after we were done.

I'm with the players, but; this is the type of stuff that kills me.

You knew for a fact; you'd get hurt...you assumed you'd get "help" from the NFL.

STFU. You're given a choice. Nobody puts a gun to their head and tells them to go play football.
nikkas in the hood make choices everyday with knowing the consequences of what they do just like everybody else, they're not dummies. Don't play anymore. That simple.

:what: Isn't the analogy that obvious?

It's not about participation or the money like someone mentioned before.

NFL teams have hours of film on these players but they still stripping them down, parading them around Indianapolis, measuring them head to toe, and having them do shyt that has little impact on how they perform in the NFL all in the desire to have the biggest, fastest player they can slot into their teams.

And we see the repercussions of those choices every day, just with football they were being doctored. You too slow to see what I was saying tho.

What part of "the NFL LIED to the players" do you not understand? What job do you work where your boss lies to you about the consequences of your job and you're cool with it?

At the end of the day, if you play several years in the NFL(NBA, or MLB), you SHOULD have enough money to last you for life, even if you only made the minimum each year. The average person takes 7-8 years to make what minimum pay NFL players make in ONE year.

And you can still get health insurance.

Regardless of the NFL not telling them the whole story, he kept going back for them 6-figure pay days.

He made 685,000 in '11 chose not to play last year and is complaining about having to only pay 480 a month to see a psychiatrist. :dahell:

hell, some of them charge $100 an hour. And he's complaining about $120 a week?

So film is more effective than owners/gms/coaches seeing the players in person? :leon:
So inflated/deflated college heights & weights should be trustworthy when investing millions into your future? :leon:
So having them catch the ball, run routes, straddle side movments, run shuttles, have little impact in game?:leon:
So if the NFL was predominately white, would the "slave" analysis still exist for y'all? :leon:
So boxers and MMA fighters don't have to "strip down", get measured, weighed, etc? :leon:

Great post.... The lengths that sycophants will go to to coddle their babies and heroes is astonishing.

:what: Isn't the analogy that obvious?

It doesn't matter how easily the analogy comes to mind, the analogy is invalid. . Teams choosing players through NFL combine results is akin to employers choosing candidates through grading and interview screening processes. The Combine is no more slavery than a high end job interview (ie. business consultancy, corporate law, working at Google etc). Therefore comparing the Combine to slavery is absurd.

It's not about participation or the money like someone mentioned before.

As I mentioned above, yes it is.

NFL teams have hours of film on these players but they still stripping them down, parading them around Indianapolis, measuring them head to toe, and having them do shyt that has little impact on how they perform in the NFL all in the desire to have the biggest, fastest player they can slot into their teams.

So what? Microsoft has GPA grades, yet still feels the need to further screen people. The NFL combine is simply another screening process. The only difference between what the NFL and Microsoft does is that the NFL measures physical attributes while Microsoft measures mental ones. The Combine is a totally voluntary, harmless screening process just like an job interview.

I pray Allah gives him strength

Dude is an idiot. He sacrificed his NFL playing career for some Arab worshipping syncopant brain washing bullshyt. Now he suffers the consequences. Aint nobody give a fukk about his pious bullshyt. If I was the GM that drafted him, I would inform him that he is to participate in practice, attend meetings and play in games or else he's fukking cut.

\So because they pay the players a lot, that makes it okay for the NFL to mislead their employees?

You niggas are incredible.
