There was a girl I worked with back in the day. Little sloppy physically but mad cute and had a childlike giggle and smile. Real heartwarming type. Well I went to ask her out one day and found out she was married. Since I was crushing on her a bit before then, I was cool with that and cut her off. Before that she told me everything and asked me for advice and whatnot, but i told her I was not interested in being friends. She eventually told me that her marriage was falling apart and burst into tears in our work area, and I told her verbatim "you'll be aiight."What happened
She walked out still teary eyed, and the staff saw it. For months they thought I did something, and she would never deny if I did something. That followed me, and she acted teal snotty for 3 months afterward. Turns out muuuuuuuch later I learn that she wanted to get together but didn't know how to say it after having turns me down.
How did I find this out? A guy I was working with and introduced to her started fukking no-strings, and she told him everything. She didn't know how to cope after being told to kick rocks.

women will show their interest in body language but they won't approach. part of the reason for this is to minimize backlash if dude ain't interested
