Does it make them "pro-black" since they put their lives on the line for the advancement of black people?

Apparently there are skin tone and hair texture requirements that must be met before being able to identify with black people. For them to be pro-black is self hating according to some here.

There's damn near no black person in America who is 100% black, no matter how dark your skin is or nappy your hair is. There's at least white or Native American in you. So I guess no one should have fought for black rights and we would all be better off without rights according to posters here or these people are self-hating.



As far as the thread goes, I don't think it's possible to pro-black with a white spouse with the way the black community is now. To forego a black mate would be to put the unity and preservation of the black community on a back burner to your own personal wants/desires.

being pro black. is completely different then if your black or not.

now if you marry a CaaC as a pro black leader...your still pro black (do to your agenda and whatever your pushing in the favour of black people)...but your not 100% pro black. because at the end of the day, you chose a CaaC to be your spouse.

The general concept is that a lot of civl rights activists were mixed, not black. How can they be pro-black foregoing being pro-mixed without disregarding their own community for the black community? Is not ensuring the the longevity of your own community not self-hate? These people aren't black to you, but they are doing pro-black things and your okay with the self-hatred your guidelines for identifying with blackness have outlined?

I don't have any white parents. I have a white grandparent, that I'm very proud of, but I identify with black people.
