Yall remember when those black girls were twerking on the table in that restaurant in Dallas? Black folks were saying that music can't influence our actions like that. Folks said that we have freedom of choice of how you respond to the music playing.

Why is the narrative so different in this situation? The same rule should apply. Debaucherous music shouldn't be able to influence grown ass men and women.

because people's morals go how the wind blows. and we know people (especially on this website) love to finger wag women and dikkride athletes lol. i've compared the situation of overweight people and how a lot of people on here won't give them an excuse when food is definitely 10 times more consumable than entertainment is

look at this recent thread. notice how nobody blamed krispy kreme :yeshrug:

This is my issue. It doesn't just affect "some people". It doesn't affect the vast majority of people, at least not to where they're committing criminal acts.

Nobody denies the effect of music on the human psyche, it's just that many of you magnify the effect it has to assign blame for far more complex issues. To the point where we're blaming rap music for a near 25 year old grown man acting like a fool.
I agree with you to a certain extent my G. The majority are NOT affected to commit crimes .....but it affects just enough to keep the prison industrial complex packed with fresh young black meat ( :dame:). And that's there goal. They don't need all of us....just enough to fall for the trap.

Now here's where I'm probably going to lose you and you're gonna call me a tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist......it's all by design and rap music & private prisons are in bed together:

Gangster rap music was started and funded by the CIA in the early 90s to GLAMORIZE a criminal lifestyle to the black community. It's a psyop.

Again, I know I just lost you here but research and it'll all make since.

This world isn't what we think it is.

I think people should be accountable for their own actions. People out doin crime because they’d be broke otherwise….not because of some damn hip hop. White kids listen to hip hop and don’t do that shyt cuz they ain’t broke.

Jah Morant just a rich attention hungry goofy

Nah man that aint true. IDK where that narrative came from. There are plenty well off people who are criminals. Who knows Y but its the truth. I did my dirt because of everything but necessities :snoop:

I never lived in the PJs. Never starved or had no clothes shyt like that. Wasn't balling by any means but had the basics covered. Most that I know were same way. Or if they weren't capped like they were to justify :mjlol:

White folks have been the largest consumers of rap music since the late 90s, yet somehow it doesnt affect them, only black folks? Dont let the Thomas Sowell stans hear such logic.

People that blame hip-hop for the state of certain issues in Black community fail to understand that they're just making Black people look worse by implying that there's something wrong within the psyche of Black people in regards to psychological health.

The only kind of people to be influenced by things they hear and see more often than not tend to be individuals with mental health issues, but see y'all wouldn't claim that because it doesn't fit with your agenda plus that's a conversation y'all not ready to tackle if that's the case.

If you're not a fan of Hip-Hop in it's modern state, just say so instead of blackballing the genre as being the major influencer/perpetrator of crime, violence, etc 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Bro that was you personally wit that goofy shyt lol…..and yea some criminals have means…but the majority in the trenches/hood are doin it for lack of having. And the same music is listened to by whyte kids and majority ain’t thinkin bout committing what they hearing.

You and those like you from a big picture standpoint are an anomaly…not saying there aren’t more like you but it’s a small percentage I bet out of the population at large.

I know it was goofy. But I'll admit that I did it. I wanted fly shyt and p*ssy :russ:

we were OK. We had PJs literally at the end of the block across the ST. my friends from there had FLY shyt and the newest EVERYTHING. And those PJs do NOT have a super wild rep but were active.

I was cool with dorks, jocks, all types of people. I knew some POOR POOR MFers. They were soft as shyt and never got on that BS ever.

IDK if my point is coming across but that poverty excuse is cap 9/10. And I know MFers who use that and won't give their BM 200 dollars for school clothes.

He's right. The same way people that do this pick and choose examples? I can pinpoint 100 folks that listen to rap and hip hop religiously from their youth to today and are just fine.

Can't tell them anything though. Those evil rappers :mjpls: are at the heart of everything wrong in the community.

I really hate this “the white man made us act like this” nonsense. There are too many of us who are enticed by a lifestyle full of violence, sex, and non productive behavior. We can create entire movements, get people fired and cancelled, but can’t demand these labels put out less violent music. We don’t have standards anymore. Nobody is going hold our hand, and tell us how to live productive lives.
That's not what I said, but we can't act like slavery and ghettos didn't happen. Now if you want to get into black folks issues with personal accountability we can do that too I don't care:manny:

And I've said in many a thread that you can't even blame the labels anymore when drill rappers do millions of views and listens while unsigned so you can't lay that hat here :manny:
