Yes you can. If nikkas can get influenced to become business men and boss up to get money by listening to trash hip hop then they can be influenced to slide on their ops nc their favorite wack rapper said it's cool.

Isn't this the same thing as the "video games cause violence" argument? or the action movies cause whatever debate?

I have to agree...rap music can't be blamed for this

I know it was goofy. But I'll admit that I did it. I wanted fly shyt and p*ssy :russ:

we were OK. We had PJs literally at the end of the block across the ST. my friends from there had FLY shyt and the newest EVERYTHING. And those PJs do NOT have a super wild rep but were active.

I was cool with dorks, jocks, all types of people. I knew some POOR POOR MFers. They were soft as shyt and never got on that BS ever.

IDK if my point is coming across but that poverty excuse is cap 9/10. And I know MFers who use that and won't give their BM 200 dollars for school clothes.
I guess breh….

But nikkas is broke g, that’s just facts. Drug game prevents nikkas from being LITERALLY broke, but in this system, nikkas still broke wit unwashed drug funds….now what a nikka do wit those funds, that’s fluid…a stingy nikka still gone be stingy and a selfish nikka still gon be that. If you see what’s really happening on O block or in the N.O. or Nickerson Gardens it’s nikkas bein in poverty.

Every Monday morning I listen to shyt like payroll, currency, or Larry June. that shyt lights the fire to my hustler spirit.

Yea you talking Chi-town now. I spent time there but I was a guest. In the southern suburbs and a little time on the west side. Breh I get where you're coming from and understand. I'm just saying that for whatever reason it aint the absolute. White collar crime is a real thing you know what I mean? You got people who grew up rich; and break the law and steal shyt like that. Its not cause they NEED 2. I think we both understand that right?

Another thing a lot of you fail to realize is that...

If you're saying people are being influenced by Rap music then all that does is just open the discussion to something much bigger than just Hip-Hop itself which goes back to what I said about mental health.

See y'all want it to end with rap music being the defacto culprit and nothing else being the cause but that's not how it works because if you're gonna say people are being influenced by music to act out then it says a lot about the mental state of that individual for them to be easily influenced in the first place.

It doesn't just start and end with just Hip-Hop/Rap being the cause and reason like some of you are trying to push, it'd be deeper than that.

Yea i should specify what type of crime instead of say crime in general, cuz yea white collar crime is a major thing…. you have some people who steal just for the adrenaline rush. Work loss prevention at a retail store and you’ll see all types of old house wives that steal for the thrill :mjlol:…..but as far as hip hop and true effect it has on listeners, I don’t think cats in the hood are making those decisions based off of what Nardo Wick is talkin bout….. Nardo wick is just providing a soundtrack and cheerleading for the bullshyt.

And all the twerking, ass shaking on social media, and music with sex lyrics are now acceptable. What happened to women not wanting to be perceived a certain way?

It’s women empowerment and just entertainment,.. so we’ve been told…

I feel like twerking got “sexualized” by White American Media with the Miley Cyrus debacle.

They’ve been twerking in Africa, carribeans and America itself for centuries and it wasn’t a big deal.
