Lol no this is absolutely wrong. You may get the type of body you feel is more aesthetic, may feel more fit but if you're talking about actual strength then weights > calisthenics. Calisthenics strength building is limited by the weight of your body and whatever marginal weights you can add to your frame, generally. You obviously can move more weight with barbell/dumbells/etc and therefore get stronger.
