I only feel bad for the inexperienced dudes who'll read this and be likeand bush weights for calisthenics. The same dumbass thread will get made around the time folks think they'll make a change and that 2023 will be the year they get in shape.

As a strong active gym member here is my quick feedback.
i personally prefer weights although I warmup with push-ups and pull-ups are part of my back and bicep routine.
If you’re weak calisthenics can be discouraging. A starter often can’t do body weight. With weights they can scale it down.
As a stronger person. Calisthenics are cool, but body weight becomes easier so your routines will probably be a lot longer / repetitive or boring for me.
