No fukkery for me since I won't be engaging. :unimpressed:
OP is known troll who makes topics about close encounters with transformers. :dame:
OP is a skinny nikka that doesn't actually even lift. :stopitslime:

Why the hell should I care what a random coli cat that's weaker and less brolic than I am thinks about lifting weights?
:mjlol:
I only feel bad for the inexperienced dudes who'll read this and be like :ohhh: and bush weights for calisthenics. The same dumbass thread will get made around the time folks think they'll make a change and that 2023 will be the year they get in shape.
They won't. :francis:

Y'all have fun ITT, Imma go eat breakfast and then get ready to go to the gym.

As a strong active gym member here is my quick feedback.

i personally prefer weights although I warmup with push-ups and pull-ups are part of my back and bicep routine.

If you’re weak calisthenics can be discouraging. A starter often can’t do body weight. With weights they can scale it down.

As a stronger person. Calisthenics are cool, but body weight becomes easier so your routines will probably be a lot longer / repetitive or boring for me.

I got in shape during the pandemic mostly doing pushups, sit ups, and kettlebell workouts.

I just do pull ups and push ups with squats and sit ups. I need to buy me a dip bar and I'll be good. Calisthenics is kinda addicting to me; ever since I found out a could physically pull myself up, I haven't stopped. I'm not against weights or weight lifting, I just prefer calisthenics for now.

The Coli not only has some of the richest individuals… also the strongest :mjlol:.

But anyway, I’ll say that a lot of cats are not well rounded in their strength profiles. They’ll do bench all day but have a weak back/shoulders…. Which is why you’ll see cats that can’t do multiple pull-ups.

jumping jacks :mjlol: thats not gonna cut it

My legs are cut from it. So for me, it’s enough. I don’t plan on doing any car lifts or strong man competitions. And I can still put 8 45 lb plates on the squat bar and get busy. Deep squats with a bench behind me.

You can get in ultimate shape doing calisthenics but to go above and beyond you need more weights. You think wrestlers, offensive and defensive of lineman only use calisthenics lol. Imagine training for the strong man competition or trying to break records using calisthenics only. It’s impossible.

Do both and it'll be much harder for your strength to leave you

When im on my shyt, On back/Triceps day I would warm up with 2 sets of chin ups and 2 sets of pull ups. On chest/bicep day I implement push ups into one of my later bicep workouts. And once a week on my "maintenance" days I do cardio/abs/calisthenics with a 20lb body vest on

Right now I'm 225lbs (6'3), I fell off these past 3 months due to work/winter but back in December when I was 203lb I was hitting 20 pulls ups/chin ups straight, and 50 push ups straight and lifting weights

I was back at the gym today, I hit 16 pull ups which I thought was great considering I put on 23lbs in such a short time. My endurance was naturally trash but my workout regimen before kept me strong. I'll be back in peak form in about 4-6 weeks
