is no one going to point out the fallacy of the op... the heat and the spurs were able to make jumpers because they had consistent penetration, post play and ball movement...
no one is saying you're going to win a championship by shooting pull-up jumpers

"you can't win shooting jumpers" is an antiquated way of viewing the NBA considering that every smart team has been trying to shoot a ton of corner 3s for like a decade

Barkley is an idiot. What the hell did the Spurs do last year? What did the heat do in 2013?

Heres another one... A long INT is the same as a punt. No its not. Teams score more after Turnovers no matter where they happen on the field than punts.
the spurs broke the heat inside out..

they took it inside and forced heat to double team inside freeing a man on the wing to shoot..

so far the statement he made is right...

& these teams are getting the corner 3 as a byproduct of their post game & penetration. We're talking about teams who don't have a large post presence & shoot a ton of jumpers

It would have been a different series if Bron had been taking the likes of JJ Barea and 57 year old J. Kidd to the block instead of being :hamster:. Having a post presence creates spacing and open shots.

No point when you don't have spacing. The defense just camps out in the paint and waits.

couldn't I argue that Spurs and Miami's good jump shooting was a product of Wade/LeBron/Tim/Tony/Manu/ ability to do work down low (whether it be driving or post up) while being great passers?
pretty much. you play from the inside out not the opposite.

And if they did that Bron would have averaged 35 a night in the post. Sitting back and waiting by the basket only works to impede drives. If a guy is posting you have to be aggressive in trying to get the ball out of his hands before he eats whoever is guarding him alive. That opens not only shooters but lanes to the basket as well.

Whatever the higher percentage shot is on a given situation, that is the shot you take. :manny:

Tony Romo isn't clutch.

Most 4th quarter comebacks and GW drives since 06. Highest QB rating in 4thQ+OT in league history.

Clayton Kershaw can't pitch in the playoffs.

Speed up rotation, and still pitches 6+ with 3 or less earned. Loses most postseason games due to run support.

Defense wins (NFL) championships.

Rams, Colts, Saints, Packers all won because of offense. Without David Tyree and Welker dropping a ring, the Pats could have very easily also won 2 more with offense >>>> defense. You don't need defense, you need timely stops.

Chic-Fil-A isn't that good.

:stopitslime:
Breh defenses does win championships, all of those teams mentioned had great defenses

"We shouldn't draft this QB because he's short."
