I have to wonder if while stuffing his face with Big Macs does Trump ever wonder if he fu—ed up.

I mean it’s human nature to second guess yourself. I find it hard to believe anyone could see the warning lights and still keep this facade going to blatantly

doubtful

if he had an inkling that what he was doing was so destructive and divisive he likely wouldn't do it

time and time again he surrounds himself with yes men who don't have the country's best interests at heart and that aren't specialists in their fields and this is the end result

this is by no means an excuse for Trump btw it's a character flaw, he might be the most unintelligent and least intellectually curious president in our history

Nah, he's part of that group of people who never suffer the fallout from those decisions. All that money wasting, failed ventures, etc. and he's never been held up to it. Breh committed felonies at the Presidential level and dodged any tangible form of repercussion. His support got stronger. :why:

You have his already shytty and pretentious personality still benefiting from his surroundings continuously crashing and burning, I'd be surprised if he didn't feel he was invincible let alone second guess anything.

Just go back to whatever sham medical records on his condition. Something like 6'5 230 with 2% body fat or something. The man is not sane.

I remember reading during the pandemic that China really loves pork and buys alot of pork from the US. So many different ways China can hurt Trump

some of these governments can move in a way trump can't province liquor boards in canada stopped importing alcohol from red states just like that so businesses can't buy & sell anything that the board isn't importing.

But he did. At least one time. He lost the 2020 election.

Yeah he jumped to mental gymnastics to cover but that’s the inherently insecure man he is.

If the shelves start going empty it’s the same Covid supply chain issue again and deaths. A visual image he can’t escape. But instead of the election being six months away, it’s all on him for three years.

China will have him over a barrel and either cuts the same deal we’ve had for decades or China gets an even better deal just to punish him.

There’s no out for him

Making a deal with the Bahamas isn’t going to save face anymore than killing Al-Qaeda’s number 3 bomb maker changed the opinion on the war on terror.

China has become his Moby dikk.

High Tariffs Cause China’s Foreign Trade Stock to Pile Up, as Cheap as Scrap

Channel Info China Observer Subscribers: 678K subscribers

Description
As the US-China trade war escalated rapidly, Chinese foreign trade businesses were caught off guard. The US imposed tariffs as high as 145% on Chinese goods, leading to the cancellation of numerous export orders. Containers were left stranded at ports, and company inventories piled up. At the same time, China’s domestic market remained sluggish, unable to absorb the flood of goods that businesses attempted to "redirect" from export to domestic sales. In this crisis, many foreign trade companies were forced to liquidate their inventory in drastic ways.

Here's an actual post in the Temu subreddit from two hours ago.

Remember how some people googled "did Biden drop out" before the election? Well, those people are finding out about tariffs now.

My Temu-addicted mother-in-law is going to be so pissed. But this is what happens when you vote for a guy because "comedians can't say anything anymore"

10/35
🇺 shazbat.bsky.social
Of course, no comic who doesn't suck has had any problems. People who think abuse is funny had a bad time for a while, and got upset that the rest of us can see that abusers are the problem rather than their targets.

11/35
🇺 thesoutherndad.bsky.social
You mean there's more to comedy than furthering false and harmful stereotypes?

Surely you jest and your jest is unfunny because it is too woke.

/s because I know what app I'm on.

12/35
🇺 m-gibbs.bsky.social
"I haven't been keeping up with the news...did I miss something???"

These people are so self-centered that they don't even bother to acknowledge a larger world exists until it affects them directly. We are so cooked.

🇺 pathost.bsky.social
Unfortunately this is like half of America

14/35
🇺 making-good.bsky.social
I hear you, but also it's not that especially selfish I don't think?

Imagine if all your news sources were normalizing everything and you're busy with work and an upcoming wedding.

How would you know that stuff is completely effed?? Until you get a temu tarrif.

15/35
🇺 making-good.bsky.social
The poorness and work stress and work culture of USAmerica is definitely part of how this bs is working.

16/35
🇺 jlwastooshort.bsky.social
I suspect one can find a great number of people who are both poor and work stressed who are aware of this shyt (just look around bsky) so I don't think those are the relevant variables.

17/35
🇺 jlwastooshort.bsky.social
I have no doubt that some people would articulate their experience of it as "I'm too stressed with work to care about this," but I'd wager that is often not work stress qua work stress; at most, it's that person's inherent character/predispositions intersecting with work stress.

18/35
🇺 making-good.bsky.social
I understand what you mean. There are certainly other variables involved. Those 2 cannot be discounted though, as huge factors.

What got you pay ongoing attention to the larger context of things beyond your immediate life?

19/35
🇺 dysheki.bsky.social
It's amazing how many people don't pay attention to literally any news.

21/35
🇺 robempty.bsky.social
Yes pudding, they do pay the tariffs. And then they pass them along to you in the form of increased pricing. Good grief these people.

22/35
🇺 talismanshops.bsky.social
No. The company, or person, in the United States, that is IMPORTING the goods pays the tarrif. Example: Walmart orders 20 containers of frozen shrimp from a factory in China. When the goods arrive at the US port, Customs duty must be paid to release the shipment. Walmart pays the tarrif/raises price

I did not suggest it. I said it explicitly. GET LEARNT, LIB!!

31/35

Yikes. I don't buy fro Temu often but thought I'd pick up a summer dress or two. That is until I saw the import tax.

This is so much worse than I expected.

Commented on Mon Apr 28 05:54:17 2025 UTC

The thing is, the tariffs being charged by Temu are nothing compared to what’s gonna happen to more expensive goods. How about when a TV or refrigerator goes from $300 to $800?

│ │ Maybe you could show them the difference between your orders and mine. I just placed a few items in my cart, and went forward just for enough to see how much more it was going to cost with an import charge. Might be fun to see what it's like for a Canadian if you have a screenshot of any orders this week. I just put in a cart the things I bought a few days ago did not have an import charge and as a April 27th now they do. $40 on the $30 cart contents

No chance. Trump has zero ability to self reflect.
