Internet can go. I've been around when internet wasn't a big thing. I can make it work. Back to split screen games, but we're good. I would have said modern entertainment, but video games raised me. I need those

Those some good points.

Giving up Modern Entertainment is the easiest. We don't need tv, movies, concerts, or video games. I rarely watch TV, movies maybe twice a month. Never cared for concerts.

Giving up the Internet is losing valuable information at your fingertips

I don't know how y'all saying getting rid of modern transportation cause how y'all gonna get your groceries or anything large that needs to be transported. Your shyt spoiling before you even get home.

They apparently live in the city and can walk everywhere.

But giving up Modern transportation the rest of your life? Nah. Anything can happen where you need reliable transportation. If you're one of those green friendly types just keep it in the garage.

t-dot till they bury me
nikka how all modern transportation is gone
Op didn't specify all of society, matter of fact, his criteria is pretty straight forward:

Modern Transportation - No access to cars, buses, trains, airplanes, etc. You have to walk or bike where you need to go. Hopefully you either work from home or live close to your job.

How will you have access to banking?

What if you want to start a business?

What if you want to invest in stocks, real estate, or crypto?

How will you apply to new jobs?

What if you have an office job?

Will you give up working from home?
Are you serious with these questions? This was literally life in the 90’s

Go to the fukking bank, phone banking/brokerages also existed

You looked in the classifieds or signed up with recruiting agencies for jobs

People worked in the office without the internet :dwillhuh:

I’d be broke, or incredibly inconvenienced either way.

Without internet, or entertainment, I would have to find another career. Obviously, I would be drastically inconvenienced without plumbing and transportation. I’m not choosing medical, because we need that.

I think the issue is op didn't clearly articulate the impact of the choices

Options read as if only you have to give them up, while they still exist for others
  • Modern Plumbing - Enough said. You don't get to have a toilet nor do you get access to any. You have to either go outside or use an outhouse or pan or something.

I read this as, i don't have access to something that exists for others

Essentially, you're left out

You're putting yourself at a very big disadvantage.

If you lose your job are you driving to 10 different employers?

If you wanted to start a business how will you advertise it? How will you compete with other businesses?

If someone empties your bank account how will you know?

Most office environments requiring checking email, how will you do that?

I’m reading this as if we’re removing it from the world. If it’s just me, I’m voting plumbing. Pumping water from a well it is
