Houston eats so good independently because the whole state rides with their artists. Slim Thug could to a show on a border town like Brownsville or Laredo and it will be sold out, same in other parts of Texas. We are like our own country. A lot Houston rappers were eating well when new recruits would be stationed at Ft Hood, they would be introduced to the Houston music by somebody at the base and would take it back to their home states even to Germany. Texas nikkas are very independent minded and because of that they value control. I think that had Paul, Cham, and Slim dropped their own independent albums, people would have been surprised how many units they would have pushed. The GYMC album was very successful too.

Pimp and Mitch would have never been as successful, and all those cats ran together anyway, they would always be on the seawall hanging out and shyt. Pimp, Bun, Mitch, DMD, Boonie etc.. Boonie had talent but couldn't stay out of trouble and when he finally got out for good he was on some other shyt.

All in all they were just two different people but from my interactions with them either together or on a one on one basis they loved each others as brothers, and knowing Pimp, I don't think he would front about it. Sure he called Bun out on bullshyt from time to time but when your that close to someone shyt happens.

And lets be honest Pimp got them into a lot of shyt they shouldn't have gotten into. The horrible deal with Rap a lot, the issues with P, the trouble in Louisiana. Pimp let his mouth get ahead of him at times and even he had to use connections to get out of. Dude literally owed is life to J Prince and because of that it kind of sabotaged the future success of UGK.
