Whats crazy is there are families out there with both parents making near minimum wages in NYC.

This. I'm at 94K( with my recent pay raise and I've been in IT for almost 10 years now )but if I was to get fired tomorrow? I doubt I would make as much at a new company. So I might finish up my CS degree starting next year and I'm working on improving my game programming skills on the side. My job has been around since the 40's and by law every citizen( well not everybody but I'm not giving any hints to where I work. Lol ) is required to have us and we never had any layoffs, but I still puts no faith in any company.
