It's because the males grow slower than the females (I think). They probably fight also..I saw this video where they have conveyor belts full of baby chicks being funneled into a grinder just to destroy the overpopulation of them. Pretty disturbing, but I still eat yard bird

My point was , why is it listed as a deterrent if people rarely catch these? if someone is cooking their chicken properly, and washing their workspace, this isn't a huge issue.
The items in that link seem to be ready to eat chicken.

More often than not I tend to take that L.
Years ago I was at work and I asked my breh Polo how his weekend was. He and is girl are vegan and animal activists. They went with a group of other people and protested in front of a KFC. He then showed me flyers with info on how terribly the chickens are treated. The shyt was truly horrifying. Chicken beaks getting cut off by hot knifes. Filthy conditions. etc 
I felt that shyt. It was nothing that I thought it was. I remember I then clocked out and went on my lunch break. Somehow someway I was on auto pilot and ended up at KFC
Ate a three piece with zero fukks. The shyt was delicious. 
Walked back into work sipping my sweet team from KFC
and my breh was like GENERAL!!
