nikkas always ignore that all that blitzing and hard hedging just led to wide open shots for GS. The major problem offensively for them was that Green didn't learn how to put shots up at the rim on Mozgov until later in the series, and Klay was abysmal. However that hard hedging strategy only works if you force turnovers and after GS got adjusted to it there wasn't any turnovers
Yes, like these dumbasses @G-Zeus and @Teko. They seem to think since Delly consistently went over the pick to deny Curry a 3-pt shot, there was nobody stoppin him from going to the hoop.

I'll repeat this since alot of people who don't watch Warriors games love to comment. I've never seen Curry get locked up. Curry is either off or he's on. The type of defense played on him is never relevant. When he's on he's unguardable. When he's off, he doesn't need to be guarded :JJ:

What the fukk does this even mean? Can you even type out a coherent sentence?

Again, can you provide context surrounding these eight shots? Was he guarding him with absolutely no help? Was it late in the shot clock? Was there no option for him to pass - fearing a turnover - that he had to jack up a shot?

What you seem to forget was that without the help of Tristan, Curry would've got to the rim at will. Delly consistently went over the pick in halfcourt sets, to deny Curry a good look from beyond the arc and Tristan would hedge on Curry - either forcing him into a tough pass or he stayed in front of Curry when he tried getting into the paint. This is why all the role players for the Warriors had open shots all throughout the series, most notably Draymond, because his man would more often than not leave him open to help guard Curry.

Are you dyslexic or something?

The point is this, without the joint effort from Tristan (on the minor - the rest of the team), Delly wouldn't have had the luxury to consistently go over the pick - leaving a wide open lane to the rim for Curry. Again, in most cases PGs can't lock up other PGs, because in a PNR league you need more help than any other position. It simply can't be done by yourself.

@G-Zeus why do you think Draymond had so many open shots in that series? What was his man doing when he was bricking shyt from behind the arc?
Green was bricking.. So they could afford to concentrate on curry and Thompson..

But this wasn't every possessions.. That probably accounts for like 3 - 4 shots..
Curry ran ISO.. Pnr.. And spot up..

They paid the consequences when he stop bricking..

I can't provide context.. I don't remember every shots.. But I know what I saw...

Sorry for the confusion ..wife was flipping in my head..talking about I don't listen..so my bad on the dislexia.

It takes legs to go over the pnr..Its why jason terry couldnt do it..but how exactly would Thompson help Della get over the pick? Aside from yelling SCREEN..?

I don't think anyone is counting the part of Thompson forcing the miss when talking about Della made him go 0-8..

They are talking about when Della went over the pick and succesfully defended the shot..

I mean u do see Cleveland is going for legs right now right? They mainly prepared for gsw

Kyrie, Della, shump, cunning will be running wild on defense

Edit, pick is how we say screens where I am from

What do you think would've happened if Delly consistently went over the pick and Tristan didn't switch/go underneath to stay in front of Curry?

He's not helping him get over the pick, he's helping Delly by taking the decision of whether to go under (leaving Curry an open 3), or go over (leaving Curry a wide open lane to the rim) out of his hands. Delly more often than not didn't have to think about what option to take, because he knew, if he did his part, Tristan and the others would cover the rest.

Delly didn't make him go 0-8. It was joint effort from the Cavs.

Let's review said game where Curry went 5-23:

Curry's first miss - Shumpert over the pick, with Tristan hedging hard forcing him to jack up a 3-pt shot late in the shot clock.
Curry's second miss - Tristan guarding him solo; Warriors role players not getting free - again, forcing him to jack up a jumper late in the shot clock
Curry's third miss - He actually loses Delly on this play (Delly caught behind pick from Draymond) but misses a wide open floater in the lane
Curry's fourth miss - Again, he loses Delly on this play (Delly caught behind pick from Ezeli - Mozgov doesn't hedge), but misses a wide open 3-pt shot
Curry's fifth miss - And AGAIN, he loses Delly on this play (runs around a screen and Delly isn't aware - Mozgov and Jones force him into a tough reverse layup)
Curry's sixth miss - Curry runs into corner and forces a step-back three - first occasion where Delly is actually guarding a miss shot
Curry's seventh miss - With three seconds left on the shot clock, Curry is forced to take a 3-pt shot against Delly with Jones hedging
Curry's eighth miss - Tristan is guarding him with the help of Shumpert and Curry is forced to take a shot just before the halftime buzzer
Curry's ninth miss - Curry with a transition 3 and Mozgov's extended arm is enough to put Curry off
Curry's 10th miss - Delly slips over and Curry gets the ball on a wide open 3-pt shot but misses
Curry's 11th miss - Thompson guarding Curry solo and he forces up a contested 3-pt shot
Curry's 12th miss - JR Smith switches onto Curry after Delly is caught behind a pick and he forces up a contested jumper
Curry's 13th miss - Curry forces up a contested 3 against LeBron as the Warriors are down by five with nearly a minute to go
Curry's 14th miss - Curry forced up another contested 3 against LeBron and Shumpert
Curry's 15th miss - Curry pump fakes Delly on a 3-pt attempt, Delly does well to recover but Curry forces another 3-pt shot
Curry's 16th miss - LeBron forces Curry into a tough layup in transition
Curry's 17th miss - Shumpert and Delly force Curry into a tough jumper with a few seconds left on the game clock - where the Warriors are by one point.

Video of all his missed shots - NBA.com/Stats

As you can see Delly only contested Curry's missed shots on three plays (which can be attributed mostly to him) - not this 0-8. This is why it's important to provide context with those stats, because they often give the miss to the closest defender in the vicinity and not if they actually guarded the shot.

No they're not. Clearly you don't know how it works.

I was with you until there. Curry is the type of player that always needs a body on him(pause). He can be shooting like shyt for 3 quarters and then light you up in the fourth. You gotta always account for curry on defense.
