city>>>>>

burbia is cookie cutter/chain restaurants with no soul/character ......

city has tons of local/non-chain spots bars, lounges and more to do....dont have to drive everywhere :blessed:

plus people come into the city from the burbs to hang out then they gotta drive back drunk and catch DUIs

also even if your older city life is better i read a study that seniors fair better in the city because of the activities and constant contact with people and less driving....seniors in the burbs have to drive everywhere which increases stress and also they get less visitors cause they are isolated :to:

The burbs really don't have any character.

I'm from Pittsburgh, grew up in the suburbs, lived in the city for almost ten years on my own and now I live in the fukking hood in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NYC.

I hated the lack of character, personality, the class BS, the latent racism, the whiteness, the uppity attitudes, the in your face overtly religiousness, the conservative lean, the fake smiles, the strip malls, the ugly buildings, the corporate culture, the ungodly worship of sports (from childhood to adulthood) and as a black/Nigerian/west indian (first gen) American, I absolutely hated the lack of diversity.

Sometimes, as much as I cherished growing up and having a childhood that had great education, a safe environment, and a very promising and providing atmosphere...I resent that bullshyt especially now as an adult cause I think about how much better off I would of been mentally and physically if I could of grew up in a place where I could of met more black people like myself and not feel like a token/loner for the majority of my formative years.

fukk THE BURBS. DEAD ASS.

I think kids that grow up in the city are better than kids that grow up in the suburbs.

I'm going to be honest (and this is coming from experience)...kids that grow up in the suburbs might seem well adjusted, but that lifestyle just breeds a sheltered, entitled, and spoiled existence. Basically, it's a lifestyle all based in something that is the furthest thing from reality as possible. Which is why I think that people from there tend to have a culture shock (especially after college) when they realize that life is ten times harder and realer then what mommy and daddy told them.

City kids just have somewhat more realistic approach to life and IMO just seem more well rounded just due to that exposure of living in that type of environment. I just think about how some of those kids (in comparison) from the burbs grow up and just end up having little experiences with people outside of that bubble and just don't even know how to talk interact with people not like them.

I'm in the burbs and I love it. I got way more house for my money and niccas ain't really trying to pop up on a nicca because I live too far out. I just don't like the whites living here because I don't understand whites, truly weird people .

Suburban nikka who likes the city cause it's only a 25-minute drive away with lots of restaurants/spots I've never been to/don't go to often.

Best of both worlds.
