My dream for next season

They should take the two best players that they can get and mix and match to see who fits and who doesn't. Next year alone they should win close to 40 games and that will be enough to get in the playoffs in the East. Don't make any sudden moves for a star (especially one close to 30) cause realistically Bron is probably running the East for the next 3 or 4 years anyway. Hope that Embid stays healthy and that Simmons is everything he is supposed to be. By 2020-2021 they should be ready to be among the elite in the league and most of their best players will still be under 25.

Health provided I think they win more than 40. They won 28 games this year with only 31 games of Embiid, and in Embiid's last 10 they went 8-2. Only two losses were to Boston and Houston both by 5 or less points I'm pretty sure and the Boston game was in Boston. They were just starting to click together and really roll before Embiid went down.

Give them a healthy Embiid, a healthy full season of Simmons, one or two top 5 picks, FAs, and natural progression of guys like Saric, Holmes, McConnell, etc. and I think they should definitely improve by more than 12 games.

Say you get the lakers fourth pick and first pick and add Fultz and monk

You start next season with fultz monk Simmons saric and embidd
With imager and various prospects you can still flip and ridiculous cap space

If they got Fultz and Monk, they might be ready to make a run NOW
Monk is all they could want in a player at the 2 (although ofc he'll need to mature)

and drafted Fultz & Monk

talk about trust the process.. lol.

maybe the NBA rigs this to happen as a way to combat the backlash of another year of CAVS vs Warriors cause let's be reality
if eveyone stays healthy both those teams are going right back to the finals again next year

Idk how good the 6ers coach is, but anybody of half worth should make that roster

Especially if they get Flabby

A top 3 seed in the East at worst (and this is if the Celtics finally make a power move)

Fultz and Simmons might be the best facilitating duo of any starting 5 not in Cleveland

The focus should probably be to try and focus this squad around Simmons and Okafor at this point. If Embiid works out great, but he cannot be counted on at this point.

Im assuming Embiid comes back in great shape trade okafor for a couple pieces
