So if a father abandoning his kids and leaving the mother to be the head of the household because she has no other choice is a matriarchy, would BW abandoning their children in en masse and leaving them with Black men to raise on their own be the patriarchy you guys are seeking? :lupe:

Most womanists say fukk whitey though. You all need to stop with this we're partners with white people foolishness. Again, you'd be better served to talk about womanists being insular and not trusting WW, WM, or BM alike than pretending we're besties with WW.
Men weren't allowed to live in the house during the "integration era" when the housing projects were opened up. The first child support laws were inspired by a visit to housing projects...in which men weren't allowed to live, due to housing being separate from TANF and AFDC. A bullshyt article was written to say it was a myth, and that got struck down in the comments, because it was true. This is part of my REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE, and not yours.
The vast majority of black fathers do NOT abandon their children. The US justice system, however, does favor women in family court in regards to custody and marriage.
They also favor women in regards to child support arrangements, housing, adjustments, and enforcement. Laws are in place to protect your motherhood rights and privileges.
Public housing was in place before any "abandonment". Black men also went to WWII, Vietnam, etc...and did not receive a GI bill. Women could not be involuntarily drafted into the army. This set our community back at a critical point. REAL LIFE AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY. You are not a part of that.

because I have eyes and ears

OR are we going to go down into the realm of fantasy where we pretend that black feminists dont do this?

Some do sure. But why are you painting them all based on the actions of a vocal minority? Feminism is not some secret or small club. If you generally believe that women deserve economic and social equality to men you're a feminist. Most women in this country meet that criteria, and many men do as well. Which makes it fukking hard to outright dismiss all feminists as extremists or whatever else.

I've heard this explanation and response before. Unfortunately, this is 3rd wave feminism and none of that applies.
This new form has nothing to do with what you're talking about and the vast majority of them are hostile online and in real life. You think the vast majorty of us are lying? Different types of nikkas that usually argue and call each other c00ns are in AGREEMENT right now.
Stop it. shyt is getting dismantled. Time to man up.

You sound like a white person who believes all BLM members are violent thugs based on video of someone burning down a store or saying violent chants lol.

The internet is not real life bro. Tumblr does not represent most feminists, anymore than The Coli represents black people. You're getting outraged over a corner of the internet and using that to justify stereotyping an entire sociopolitical movement.
:scust:

I'm very aware of militant super hardcore online feminists. I'm also aware of regular feminists. I know plenty of feminists from work, former classmates, family members, etc and none of them are running around calling for the extermination of men. They're doing shyt like, oh I dunno...demanding equal pay for equal work, or changing gender norms, or calling out sexual assault/harassment, etc. I'm gonna assume that a lot of people here generally agree with the shyt that most feminists spend their time working on in real life...

Do you see how other posters clown me for repping 20 cities? That shyt is real. My life and your life are not the same. In the past 5 years I've lived in 4 states, 6 cities...I'm on my 2nd country right now. I was at blm Toronto, occupy new haven, demonstrations in dc, and demonstrations in ohio.
I didn't just "meet a few people".

You're honestly just ranting with no focus. What does any of this response have to do with Black women being discriminated against based on race and gender since forever like you implied we didn't after slavery?

Also, @The Wave he's talking about you if you're from Ghana.

He grew up with us.
You're not part of us, so it's not up to you to determine who is and who isn't with us. It's obvious you are NOT.
You want parity and equality with white women. You want a place at the table and your words won't lead you there. Attacking black men as an authority figure is how irish and Italians moved up. Hispanics, too. They became cops and middleman agents of white supremacy to gain a foothold. Women like you (not all or even the majority of black women think like this) are poison. You spread this twisted ideology adapted from somebody else's power move, trying to socially engineer your way into a position of even more authority. If there are so many single parent households, how is it a black patriarchy? If black men abandon black women at the rates you stated, how can we control them? If black boys are being raised by black women in rental properties, they're not inheriting wealth. Patriarchy is about amassing wealth, and being the head of a family. The root word is PATRIARCH, meaning FATHER.
Rule by the father can't happen in those circumstances, ma'am.
