KAT got no nuts. Have you been following him before he got to the Knicks.

He choked every fukking playoffs. The Wolves are better off without him and he had a bigger role on that team then he does the Knicks imo.

He is an excellent number two but don't go talking crazy. We either need a better Bench or another star that Brunson can play alongside.

Most teams have two or more stars but the fact Knicks went this far with only Brunson as the star is something I'm proud of though it's not enough.

Brunson can't play beside any other star unless said star can play off the ball and still go to work.

Pretender/fraud Teams that peaked at ECF/WCF level and never came close again:

1997 heat
2001 bucks
2002 Celtics
2004 timberwolves
2007 jazz
2009 nuggets

2013 grizzlies

2013-2014 pacers
2015 hawks
2017 Celtics
2019 blazers
2021 clippers

2016 raptors at the time…. but three seasons later, they traded derozan to San Antonio for Kawhi/danny green and Jonas valunciunas/delon Wright to Memphis for Marc Gasol, and won their first ever title.

Immediately came to mind

Wish they joined forces sooner :wow:

Brunson wasn’t legit in playoffs prior either so I hear you but don’t agree. Beating Boston would’ve been his stamp but they shyt the bed even before Tatum went down. The best team he’d have beaten to be official would be the Pacers…and he’s gonna lose.

So I put them in the same boat. Brunson may have a better seat but it’s the same trip. Id take KAT at this point. He’s playing better with less usage and a bum ass coach that can’t figure out how to use him.
Didn’t Brunson step up and get Dallas to the conference finals when Luka was hurt?

KAT damn near ben simmions level when it comes to playoff time, and he was on good teams at that and had favorable matchups

Missed the first half, so didn't see those early fouls on KAT. Just caught up. Wtf was he doing, have to be smarter than that. The 2nd one he got was on him. Then the two late in the game, also on him - 3 stupid/totally avoidable fouls.

We literally made it to the Eastern Conference finals but lost to Bron
We lost three straight times to bron

That Hawks team lost to LeBron as well.

These nikkas are good for hyping up the greatness of Superstars while simultaneously calling their competition bums.

They don't see that you can't have it both ways.

He choked every fukking playoffs.
His 4th quarter performance in Game 3 showed otherwise.

His issues have nothing to do with him not having nuts, but more to do with his inability to make smart decisions. He gets lost in himself too often where he commits a careless turnover or a needless foul. That's why surrounding him with the right personnel and structure is needed to get the best out of him because he's got everything else in abundance. He just needs direction and a platform where he doesn't trip over his own feet.
The Wolves are better off without him and he had a bigger role on that team then he does the Knicks imo.
We're seeing in the OKC/Minny series that this is categorically untrue. They're missing his spacing and skillset, which Julius isn't providing for them.

KAT is a star. The Knicks also have two high quality starters/borderline stars in Mikal and OG. You're not going to get a secondary option better than KAT, so you can throw that idea right out the window. And for as good as Brunson is, clearly his style of play isn't conducive to winning in the playoffs and it's something they need to address in the offseason.

KAT’s lazy and careless fouling puts the Knicks in a bind.

Not that it matters now but the best version of KAT was likely his rookie season when he had Kevin Garnett pushing him. If he’d kept on that trajectory, playing with a high motor he would be truly elite.

It seems like the Knicks problem is poor decision making, an inability to control the pace of the game, and probably Thibs having yet to find a solution for Nesmith’s pestering of Brunson. Jalen has almost no space every time he touches the ball.

Should've never called that man overrated

I agree that Knicks fans are unappreciative as fukk, as a Bulls fans they got three, possibly four nikkas better than everybody on my damn team but the minute they get to the ECF suddenly everybody ass and they need to trade the entire squad away and murder Thibs. That's why I can't stand Knicks or Lakers fans, even Boston fans don't behave this ridiculously (basketball wise, fukk em for their 'cism).

I disagree that Brunson's play isn't conducive to winning, you act like he's Westbrook or something. Trade him for the second options on Nuggets, Lakers, Milwaukee, etc. and they're a dynasty. I just don't feel he can be your best player on a championship team. And even then, making it to the ECF as the best man makes the claim "his style isn't conducive to winning" absolutely ridiculous. He had to win a whole helluva lot to be three games away from the NBA Finals.
