The KP highlights aren't showing a switching scheme because the Knicks used drop coverage basically throughout the entire regular season. What you're showing is why the Knicks' drop scheme got exploited by bigs, not the switching scheme. The Knicks didn't use switching schemes until the Boston series. When they got torched in the regular season, they were using the same scheme that Indiana exploited last night.

That Luke Kornet mention doesn't fit either. According to basketball reference he didn't attempt take a single attempt from further than 10 feet out in eleven games of these playoffs. Luke was successful at the rim and in rim protection. His shotblocking was more important than anything he provided offensively.

NOPE. What you're doing is mis-characterizing switching for traditional drop coverage. Look at the highlights again. Porzingis would screen Tatum or Brown's man (OG or Bridges), they would switch onto Porzingis, Tatum or Brown would dart into open space, made OG or Bridges go after them, which left Porzingis open, taking advantage of KAT or Robinson's slow foot speed to recover
You keep mis-characterizing stuff, just like you mistakenly think the Celtics offense is just "Tatum and Brown ISOing bad defenders"

And at the bolded. Thank you for stating the obvious Magic Johnson :dead: . Obviously Luke Kornet is not a shooter. My point was to say Luke Kornet as a 3rd string center had a bigger impact barely scoring than Porzingis and Horford combined, showed how terrible both were for the series
