likewise. Maybe mike malone is the right guy

Knicks need a guy who is gonna install a new offensive system to utilize all their offensive talent and then get the right defensive guys to hide KAT & Brunson's deficiencies.

It also shows the importance of player development, while also deading the narrative that you need top draft picks to contend.

Knicks fans said that Mitch would be the difference maker in bringing them a championship.

Thibs is an old school guy who believes rookies have to pay their dues but that shyt is dead & buried in today's NBA given the importance of depth and the salary structure teams have to operate under now. You need fresh legs coming in every year who have skillsets that can add to your core & you also need to help develop them along.

This is why I believe Malone might be shortsighted for NY...he wanted no parts of having to develop Braun, Watson, & Strawther in Denver. Now even if those guys aren't going to turn into solid contributors (Braun already has)...a modern NBA coach can't have that kinda stance.

For a milkman Haliburton got some swag to him. He needs to drive to the rim more though, knicks defense collapses and he has the shooters out there.

I want nothing more than a Indy sweep. Knicks fans still haven’t learned humility. Idiot fanbase.

That's why I don't think he'd be the right guy for that team as you're going to have to develop young players under this new CBA regardless of whether you want to or not.

For context, the Phoenix Suns ranked 27th defensively during the regular season with a rating of 117.7.

The Knicks’ starters played 16 minutes together in Game 2 and were minus-13. In Game 1, which went to overtime, the group was minus-16 in 26 minutes.

This is why thibs sat towns , then you bring in Robinson and you can hack or he leaves dudes open for 3 cuz he just stands in the paint.

Knicks had no business beating Boston

In today's NBA there is no hiding deficiencies on defense. Offenses will set picks and move the ball until they get the matchup they want.

You either have to have a defensive scheme to minimize switching, have superior help team defense, or have 5 guys on the court who can hold their own 1-on-1 on an island.

Ideally you have all three.

You can have one deficiency. Most of the elite teams do. You CANT have two though. No question.
