The chips and soda was implied in the stop at the gas station. The rest of it was just playful reminiscing about how those types of nights would unfold after starting with “chips and soda.”He said none of that.
A lot of out of touch sanctimonious posts in here. You guys don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. The age differential and paradigm you grew up in makes your POV sound myopic. Young working-class brehs and brehettes are doing gig work on top of having multiple full-time jobs in order to make ends meet. Do you know how many young brehs and brehettes are racking up debt on “buy now pay later” and “cash-advance” apps just to pay for bills and groceries? Most of you are in your 40’s which is around the age of your highest earning potential keep that in mind. You have to update your frame of reference before speaking so matter-of-factly.
Go to bed, nigguh. The chips and soda was implied in the stop at the gas station. The rest of it was just playful reminiscing about how those types of nights would unfold after starting with “chips and soda.”
And I’m the sure the point was just getting cheap snacks and chilling, not being limited to actual chips and soda
real friendship will save you money/make you money*
this is the problem.Having a real non-online social life is an important part of human development.
You never made a run to the gas station and picked up some quick snacks and a drink to go to your homeboy’s spot to watch the game?
And finish off the bottle of Absolut from the last time y’all got together?
Then try to call some joints over… then try to make a quick run to the liquor store before they get over there because you finished the bottle? Then tell ya boy to grab some wine coolers too, just in case they don’t drink like that?
Also keep in mind these guys love to live their lives through other people ala streamers and podcastersThis generation is just lame and selfish
Never in a million years would I allow money to come between whether or not to kick it with the homies
Ain’t nothin too expensive about getting some chips and soda (or liquor for those who partake) and kick back with your peoples at they or your spot.
This part took me out. This is why I don’t invite my friends to my children’s events. I don’t think most adults want to be at a child’s birthday party or baptism.A lot of good points from everybody in here but this one is my main problem. Im an older head that dont smoke or drink so that cuts me out of 80% of adult activities. I can still watch the game and be around brehs doing that but i work rotating shifts and weekends so i miss most games at nights and sunday football.
The other thing is people move away so your homie 30-60 minutes away plus traffic is a headache unless u got the next day off or they meet u halfway.
your relationship and child status plays a big role too cause im not double dating with toxic a$$ ratchet couples or being the 3rd wheel. Even worse your girl dont trust u so she tagging along
My kids are older and everybody starting to just have kids so all that shyt is old to me and i got less restrictions on how i can move so hell nah im not coming to your 3yr olds birthday on my only saturday off
Lastly people be telling on themselves on social media so i can look at the most recent post to see where your head at and if i want to entertain that shyt. Once u get pass all that then the money aspect is the last hurdle to get over because it is tough out here and u might not be worth that $20 of gas let alone the other expenses u had planned with them cause we all adults now and not doing some shyt we dont want to
