I'm not defending Chris Benoit don't get me wrong, but his family was innocent, they don't need other family members being reminded. This was not a professional comedian this was a child who thought he was being cool and edgy, all I am saying is keep the same energy when people make fun of people you like because this is really what comes down to. I kept the same smoke for Ari Schafer when he said what he said about Kobe. If a white kid did the same shyt about Kobe funny or not this is a different thread. Hell you would be calling for him to be banned.
Like I said before. People shouldnt even be mentioning Kobes name in this thread. It's way too soon to even start a discussion about even having a discussion of whether it's still too soon.
You don't have to be a professional comedian to showcase humor. Laughter is a natural human reaction and humor can manifest itself in many ways, it's not restricted to age, sex, certification, licensure, credentials, credits, race, etc.
A tree falling on to an unoccupied car parked on the street can be hilarious.
Also like I stated before the humor is not intended to cause disrespect. The kid isn't saying fukk you to the family of Chris benoit.
If you're looking at it through that lens you're taking it personal and too far.
There's plenty of OJ, Michael Jackson, r Kelly, jokes. And funny ones too. Skits, jokes etc. Those jokes aren't a fukk you to those individuals, their families and anyone who may feel offended or victimized.
There's a difference between saying "OJ was guilty
" and "OJ was guilty
"Everyone has different tolerances though.
I don't laugh at slavery jokes or references. Everything Dave Chappelle has done on his show (roots, and other skits) and standup. I can see the humor, I understand why people are laughing and I know he's not making fun of the people who went through it or being an intentional dikkhead to any of their descendants. I just don't find it funny. "I'll whip him like a slave" "I'm sweating like a slave" "I was running like a slave" stuff like that.....not funny to me. I've only heard black people say it, in lighthearted, comedic ways. But it's not funny to me, yet i can understand their tone, delivery, etc isn't intended to offend or be serious.
