I'm talking bout the peeps 18-25

All these expectations...it's easy to get caught up :francis:

At 21 going on 22 later this year I thought I would be farther in life by now. I have absolutely no clue where I should be right now...but I just expected to be further along.

Society puts a lot of imaginary benchmarks on people our age. Idk what I should have accomplished by now...but I be skressin feeling like I should be super accomplished by this age :mindblown:

Social media adds on to it too. You hop online and you see nikkas your age and even younger stunting, flexing, being icy and shyt and you feel like a fukking bum :to:

shyt's gonna be even worse for the next generation though :sadcam:

But I'm starting to realize that life is a marathon not a sprint. Just cuz you don't have it now...doesn't mean you won't have it next year or the year after that :patrice:

Just be happy society doesn't expect you to put in mandatory years of military service in a nation constantly at the brink of war like Israel. Or that you're not expected to dodge bullets on tiny Pacific Islands for a country still lynching your family. Its rough but its always rough. Life ain't easy. Deal with it :francis:

I've said it a million times and I'll say it again:

As a man in his 30's , stop getting hung up on where you should be at X age. You're gonna drive yourself fukking nuts comparing yourselves to other people.

3 years ago, I met this very wealthy investor who's my wife's client, and he was 42. He makes 9 million a year and said he still isn't happy because his friends make 50+ mill a year. He's not vain at all, but his explanation was he'd still see the same happiness at 70k because "enough is never enough". He understands this and says he wishes he would have spent more time with his kids and family instead of busting out 90+ hour work weeks for 10+ years. (This is a 100% true story and if I'm lying I hope I get every disease under the sun).

He didn't get to this level until he was 38 and at 25 was broke living in a studio. Would you say he's a failure?

It takes time and you could be gone tomorrow. Control what you can and find other sources of happiness for the time being. Mass wealth should be a cherry on top, not the foundation of your life.

God Bless
