Thank you...as soon as i seen this thread i searched it on Indeed...Asics ia paying 15, i think i'll apply...i need a part time gig badly lolFair enough let me elaborate. I figured you guys would just look it up and start applying. Anyway basically most large companies (think samsung, apple, cigarette companies, etc) hire promotional companies who have mployyes who represent the brand. So while doing this most of the time the company either just wants a little of the customers information so they can send them future deals or want you to try to get them to purchase or sign up for something specific. You'd usually do things like this at a kiosk in a retail store or venue. Sometimes there is salary+commission sometimes straight salary (more common I think).
I almost got roped into an aggressive sales position poised as a Brand Ambassador. I had people telling me the position was cool but it was practically cold calling in real life. I live in New York so you see these people everywhere on the street with a company t-shirt and what looks like an iPad. What they wanted me to do is randomly go up to people and try to sell product to them on the spot, hundreds a day all on commission. From what was said there was an opportunity to leave that position after a month to advance to small time office management and eventually opening your own satellite office in under a year. Wasn't for me so I ain't take the position
something ain't seem right about it to me.
speech when needed. If I was speaking/presenting to small groups or at least interested & knowledgable customers I'm sure I can do it but my job search, no matter what I applied for, turned into direct sales with "uncapped earning potential" and "opportunities to own your own office in year"
I wouldve burned myself out for that bs. I got little money but I can keep spending it on these outings for aggressive sales breh. Tips on how to weed out the good from the bad?
. Also, yes infinite better than warehouse. If you have little retail sales experience make it up with personality in the interview.
