No doubt Penny was well on his way to becoming a great player and was for a short time.

To say otherwise is retarded. Dude's athleticism was ridiculous.

But like has been said, he never even got into his prime. It's also funny how this nikka is brought up every 3 days

Carter was deadly in his prime... The guy was a 26 5 5 guy

Exactly. Vince Cater use to put in work. Penny in his short whatever you want to call it.. averaged 20pp 7apg 4rpg around 50FG% playing along side shaq. Those numbers are cute. :heh:

You Penny Hardaway clowns make me sick.

Penny is only overrated when you hear people always making threads about him(like on this site). His actual game there was nothing you could really criticize.

He was pretty much everything you wanted in a lead Guard

shyt is embarrassing, theres no way in hell Penny was better than Pierce. You mighta been more attracted to his game () but Pierce is by FAR a better player than Penny ever was

You can tell who drinks that hype juice and who actually knows ball from these type of threads

Man I wish I could slap the fukk outta you for saying Penny Hardaway was better than Paul Pierce. GTFOH you dumb nikka. :rudy::rudy:

1. Calm yourself down
2. Looking at your avi it's clear you're a stan that took an opinion way too personal
3. I have background experience that would enable me to render you unconscious in the briefest of moments if you even gave an incling of raising a hand toward me for anything other than dap or giving me my change after you took my order :obama:

I'd take 25 year old Penny over 25 PP anytime, since that's really the only fair way to judge because of Hardaway's injuries after that. And Melo is a better scorer, but is good for nothing besides scoring. If he's off what else does he contribute to the team? Penny was all around:manny:

shyt is comical. I just have to :snoop: at a nikka saying Penny was better than some of the most potent scorers of the 00s.

You wanna compare Penny to somebody? Compare him to Someone like Steve Francis, Baron Davis, Stephon Marbury. You know, players that are actually in his tier.

To be fair, Penny never really reached his prime.

Exactly, most of these dum nigggas don't get that.

Dude was all nba FIRST team his 2nd and 3rd season, then got hurt in 97, came back dropped back to back 40 points on the heat in the playoffs, then injuries ruined his career.

Penny would be a top 5 player today easily.

:scusthov:I dont think any of those dudes were 1st All NBA back to back seasons (95 and 96) and runners up in MVP voting (1996)

Not knocking Pierce either but dont put healthy Penny down to that. He mattered in the title picture during those years which I dont think those 3 ever were

I love Paul....but Penny was well on his way to becoming a better player.

Injuries stopped that.
