You wanna compare Penny to somebody? Compare him to Someone like Steve Francis, Baron Davis, Stephon Marbury. You know, players that are actually in his tier.

Paul Pierce played with Antoine Walker, Penny played with Shaq. You think Hardaway is making all nba teams with Antoine Walker? Stop this nonsense.
And Penny Hardaway never would of had a season close to Pierce's 4th season in the league. 26ppg 7rpg 3apg 3spg 1bpg and lead the league in total points scored.. all while playing along side one of the most inefficient chuckers ever.

And how did Shaq's Orlando team do the year before Penny got there ? They didn't make the playoffs. If you think that magic team was getting anywhere near the finals w/out Penny you are delusional. If you never saw him play and are just looking at stats you shouldn't even be discussing this

Man was still All 3rd team NBA (having just played just 60 games that season) and an All-Star first year without Shaq when he had his first major surgery, that's bum status now?
Remember the game they were down 24 points in an elimination game and Seikaly broke his foot, everyone thought the series was over and this happened?
and then he cooked the next game to tie the series up
Even that first year in Phoenix with the injuries he was still good. Played well in the first round and eliminated the Spurs without Kidd and got a triple double in game 4.
Again Im saying if you wanna put Pierce ahead, by all means do so. He had a healthy and long career but to call him a bum when he was healthy or even after the 3rd and 4th Knee injury?
