He's crazy if he thinks Jay won't be one of the first to invest into it as soon as it's more tangible and viable.

Timbaland's being a futurist but Jay has always been a survivor who's particularly skilled at adapting.

So Guru better hit Jay up for a job because this is the future, corny or not.

Not sure about that

Neck ties and boxing gloves.

Not sure about that
That's because he hasn't found a way to profit from it...yet.

Like I said before, once it becomes tangible and viable in a way that makes sense to him, he'll be one of the first to invest into it.

If nothing else then to protect his own artistic intellectual property.

In the meantime, he's going to do what he can to make sure other people don't profit off him without him getting a dime.

His man will stab them and he'll take the blame before that happens.

TImbaland should be ashamed of approving this.
Yeah he really should. His persona has kind of rubbed the wrong way for a lot of years now. Also like noted in here already, he has a history of faking the funk and acting like he doesn't sample when he was straight up looping stuff. He reeks of insincerity.

Timbaland is a weirdo. If this nygga has a fantasy of putting together an album of Biggie, Pac, Prince, MJ, etc just make it for yourself and play it in the comfort of your home. Don't try to bring that shy out into the world.

Dr Dre has hundreds of songs that enjoys from the comfort of his home that will never be released.

Another blow to the most copied, sold and stolen culture on the planet earth. Being facilitated by someone who should know better. Here's to hoping that AI will never be able to duplicate the intangible... soul.
I don't think it can. All of these joints have missed the mark with me so far. I haven't heard any of the AI music so far that's made me feel anything. Even the joints with Biggie rapping Shook Ones, etc, etc. They're all missing those nuances and the little hard to describe things that make it sound human.

The Biggie Timbo joint to be fair is one of the better ones I've heard, but it's still missing that human element.

Salute to Guru for naming names. I have no issue with AI being used as a tool for producers to make better music. Say you're trying to get a rapper to ride the beat a certain way, and you use AI (featuring the rapper's voice) to show him exactly how the flow would sound. That's perfectly fine. But using AI to mimic artists and PROFIT via sales is insane and I'm stunned an artist like Timbo is cosigning this.

Even the thing with artists who passed away...it's very obvious where this is going. If the label owns your music rights after you die, what's to stop them from authorizing the creation of a new album using AI? It was recently announced there is no more unreleased Pop Smoke music to pillage, for instance. Well what if the label just has a company create new shyt? Would audiences give a shyt it's AI or would they just bop their heads to the new shyt.
Nah bro fukk that that’s cheating :heh:
