The 70s and 80s were some of the most violent times in American history before hip hop even blew. Blaming hip hop is easier than attacking white supremacy for bytches like op.

Is music that centers around the murder of Black people, anti-Black in your opinion?

The problem with what you typed is there no pedestalizing going on. You are creating this 'worship culture' out of your own behavior ie projection. Only you worship it as an easy scapegoat.

It literally is another form of entertainment. Juicy J(showing my age here) talks about doing a home invasion and then we actually see one live and in color in that incredible Oscar worthy movie everyone is dying to see. Yet you guys sit in here and only complain about one of those forms. How do you think that makes you look?

If rap was gone tomorrow and all this stuff kept happening who would you guys blame then?

'Rappers cause crime with their lyrics!' never holds up to any scrutiny and for good reason.

Poverty and education. Period.
If it's not worship why won't you let the push rock?

Someone makes a thread pushing for the abandonment of wheelie shoes or ultimate frisbee, you're not gonna see me or most in there.

Literally shrug status.

Nobody is saying that poverty and education isn't a huge issue with black people in America. Nobody's EVER said that.

You CAN work to fix foundational issues within your home while also addressing the cess filled swamp in the yard that's teeming with flies and malaria.

With most things, it's a game of steps.

Fix the gutters, then redo the shutters.

Redo the back stairs, then address the leaking rear basement walls.

Maybe the education issue can be prioritized once the bullshyt bullhorn attached to the subliminal speakers is disconnected.

It's the expression of a lived reality. The systems that create that reality are anti black. The music is made by kids venting their trauma through music and poetry. If you don't like what they talk about change their environment and opportunities and their mindstate will change. Drill music will eventually lose popularity and the killing will still be there because nothing is being done to fix the issues.

I also don't believe that crime will stop if the music went away. Would you be fine with streaming platforms banning content that celebrates the deaths of Black men?

Facts are as follows, your feelings are hurt because of the opinions of someone online so you follow me around thread to thread name calling and begging for my attention. The reality is that you are a fan. I want you to know that I can see you and that I have acknowledged your posts.

Another thread where @Matt504 chooses to discuss a negative subculture that involves a small amount of black people, meanwhile he refuses to condemn any acts of white supremacist violence, and does not offer any critiques of white supremacist culture.

Here you are being disingenuous. They are celebrating the death of their opps who are the same race as them. They aren't going around saying kill all black men. Latino drill rappers rap about killing opps who see mostly latino since most murders are done by the same race.

At the end of the day all entertainment is filth and should be filtered by parents. You can't single out one brand of filth to be banned and say keep the rest.

It's wild how people can get on websites with a built in search function and say shyt like this.

You can type in "white supremacy" as the query and "Matt504" as the user to find countless critiques of white supremacy from me.

I'm not being disingenuous at all, I understand the core dynamics of the fratricidal warring, that context is erased when it is platformed and packaged in a video/song like "Who I Smoke", a video with 10s of millions of views that celebrates the deaths of Black men that were murdered not to mention the lion's share of the profits from this content FLOW DIRECTLY INTO WHITE HANDS.

You didn't answer the question so I'll ask again: Would you be fine with streaming platforms banning content that celebrates the deaths of Black men?

I wouldn't be mad if music where actual crimes and murders are rapped about it was banned. Gang members dissing and threatening other gang members.
