It's the expression of a lived reality. The systems that create that reality are anti black. The music is made by kids venting their trauma through music and poetry. If you don't like what they talk about change their environment and opportunities and their mindstate will change. Drill music will eventually lose popularity and the killing will still be there because nothing is being done to fix the issues.

It’s a disingenuous argument to begin with. No black person in their right mind is okay with senseless violence.

Blaming rap music is a tactic used by governments and law enforcement (on all levels) to deflect from the responsibility they hold in creating these environments reflected in the music—and the responsibility they hold to improve them.

They get black people to run with the narrative that rap music makes black people kill each other, while ignoring other much more violent and pressing issues in other communities. I don’t see ANY of these posters in threads about white people mass killing black people (or any people) talking about “murder culture” or entertainment.

It’s just sanctimonious finger pointing for black people to look down on other black people, while signaling to white folks that they ain’t like the rest.

If majority of our people from youth(when the brain is still developing) to adulthood have consumed negative media you think there’s no influence?

Influence not only means committing crimes. Consuming toxic & negative media can influence your behavior in other ways. That’s what we are trying to address. Obviously not everyone is going to commit a murder, robbery etc
