Yet you guys sit in here and only complain about one of those forms. How do you think that makes you look?

I'm not even trying to be a hypocrite, I grew up listening to it heavily.

My first "favorite" rapper in life was Jadakiss, who has arguably shot and sold the most dope in hip-hop history. And I was a HUGE Bone Thugs fan, and we all know what they mainly rapped about.

But when I got older and gained a sense of racial pride as a black person, that type of music became disgusting to me. I couldn't listen to it the same.

The dudes in here defending it, I assume have zero racial pride as a black person.

They're just simply humans who happen to have black skin. Nothing more.

21 Savage, a male that has innumerable lyrics glorifying anti-Black violence and degeneracy was made to apologize for a lyric that was ostensibly flattering to the Jewish community. He didn't get tough and ask why they couldn't see him as Denzel Washington playing a role, he didn't claim it was entertainment. He gave another people an apology that he would NEVER give his own people.

The point is that when Black people take 21 Savage to task he pays them nothing but lip service and excuse for his art. When members of the Jewish community pointed out that his compliment about Jewish people being good with money is an antisemitic trope, he didn't try to excuse it, he apologized.

I've made no claims tying rates of crime to music nor would I, I don't have any data to support that. Myself and others have mentioned that music is a negative influence, I have personally concentrated on the anti-Black nature of the music but here on the coli, it's hard for many people to even admit that a product that celebrates the deaths of Black people and is mostly consumed by white people is anti-Black.
