I might have to do an official review for this entire album.

this is the best Birdman verse I've heard in over 10 years.

:mjcry:

Birdman is either beyond wack or drops straight fire.

what's the difference between that and mixing?
An album can have good mixing, and little to no mastering

It's the difference between a Below The Heavens and a Hell Hath No Fury

The extra polish you get instrumental wise is what mastering is. If you ever heard the original House of Balloons by The Weekend, and then then the Trilogy version, and could audibly tell the difference in quality

THAT is mastering. Going back and refining the mixing (but not remixing)

No . . that is not mastering
what's the difference between that and mixing?

Mixing is the process of mixing down all of the audio tracks that come together to make the song you hear . . the vocal tracks, ad-libs, drums, bass, keys, etc.

Once you have it all mixed down - you have the song. The mix - then from the mix you master it. This is a process of optimizing the audio. Optimizing the frequencies of the mix

Mastering is reslly just the process of adding the last touches for the last recording of which all copies will be based on. Silence between songs, checking the frequency and equalizing, noise reduction, how songs fade out, optimizing for vinyl, cd, digital etc.

It has nothing to do with changing the music but more audio engineering. It was also a bigger and harder thing back when shyt was manual, people used real instruments etc.

Correct!!

Anyone with any questions..... Just google places that master

They will always have examples of their work on their page. Unmastered song, then the same song mastered

If you can't tell the difference. Something is seriously wrong

I don't know the difference between mixing and mastering. But I prefer the mixing/mastering on the mixtapes. On Trilogy the drums and percussion sound harder and louder and not as rewarding. HOB mixtape bumped but there was more emphasis on treble. For the album it was mixed like a Dr. Dre album which is bad for Abel. The music has different emotions and should feel different.
