It's like I said in the thread for that video, when you talk about LA cats gangbanging IS NOT INDUSTRY shyt...theres 3rd generation Cs and Bs out here, nikkas whose grandfathers started the shyt back in the 70s, lost all their homies, and been to jail for it. And nary one of those dudes is gonna take to some frail rapper not from LA disrespecting their shyt.

What a lot of these OT Blood/Crips don't get is that there's a code to being a banger. Certain music you can't be listening to, certain hoods you're never supposed to be seen being cool with...for example you've never seen a Schoolboy Q feat. Nipsey song, because their hoods ain't cool.

I'm not a gang member but being from here and knowing how deep the C/B shyt is around here (countless lost lives, beatdowns, jackings, rules that even civilians have to play by) I get offended when I see people disrespecting the culture.

It's easy to stack 'fukk crabs' on a music video but would Young Thug throw that up rolling through the 40s, or walking past some Harlem 30s? I very much doubt it.

An LA rapper who isn't a gang member who stacked that in a video...would basically be marked for death by some of these dudes out here. Plenty of young goons would love to be the nikka that knocked a rapper's noodle.

I get what you're saying and see the logic in your post.

However, the first bolded is just sad to me. Not in a condescending way, but it's because most of the kids are being set-up for failure already. This shyt has gone on for generations, I can't think of the number of kids the last two and a half decades that just didn't know any better because of some OG's saying something about a rival set.
The second bolded is also sad, cats risking jail time for some industry plants so some can laugh at them.

The B/C's are cool thing to have in the sense of protection in the Black community. It's one thing makes people from the outside fall back from trying to pull a fast one, it's a needed sense of respect and fear for the outside world to abide. Not gonna speak on the rest of this post, but I wanted to address this...Mexican gangs ain't really pushing no lines like that out here and talking about NK. that's Gangland, Evening News shyt that was kind of hot in the mid-2000s but isn't really a thing anymore. Mexicans outnumber blacks in LA and their gangs are deeper but there aren't 3 gangs in LA proper openly striking up NK. In fact there's a lot of black gang members who are from Mexican hoods.

Having said that...when you go to smaller, dusty places like El Monte with few blacks if any, there's a lot of racist Mexicans who mess with blacks and antagonize them. But as far as Mexicans running around black neighborhoods and terrorizing them...that's media hype.

And I'm not trying to glorify gang culture. I stayed far away from it because it's dangerous as fck and I have no interest in nikkas shooting at me and my friends.
