His problem is that he's never really been mentioned outside of Drake/Lil Wayne for the last 8 years. And that's a shame because he could have been larger than the niche fanbase he has, especially working with Pharrell & Kanye. He should have undeniable classic albums and hits ala his idol Biggie, but he'd rather be "Machine Gun Funk" instead of "Juicy." Spittin is cool but he went out of his way to pick non-commercial beats.
He needed to make noise outside of Young Money beefs because they make noise without him. He gets the backpacker support but it doesn't really affect rappers that make songs the whole world sings.
