It's saying you can't just tell people to fukking deal with it. People want real solutions to what they regard as real problems. You can't just tell black women they're going about this the wrong way because then that begs the question What is the right way to go about the issue of street harassment. You say social movements and discourse. Well some black women don't think that those are effective solutions. Then you say too bad. Well some women aren't going to accept that.
why do you need more laws for whats already illegal?

You can't lock people up for SAYING things that aren't threats, so then what?

This is basically trying to turn america into some soviet, 3rd world shyt where anything you say that some people don't like causes you to go to jail.

fukk all that.

You mean the sister who was physically assaulted and already has laws that protect her? The situation would not fall under "street harassment". It would be physical assault.
You're defining street harassment for them 41% of women from the video posted said street harassment involved physical harassment.

No one is talking about physical harassment. Everyone is against that.

We're talking about verbal

Catch up already.

We know you're losing the argument, but at least stop repeating yourself.

its a law you support though, so don't try to portray this middle of the road bullshyt of yours.

a few pages back you wanted nikkas locked up for having odd stares or talking recklessly.

I wanted nikkas to respect the women in my family space. Now a law could be pass because dudes didnt know how to act and drove this chicks crazy and your mad at me for sympathizing with them? Better them than me for knocking a nikka head off.

More concern about the law being exploited than the prevention. I don't dudes going to jail but at the same time im not gonna tolerate them disrespecting the women in my family. Bout time that accountable kick in and have dudes realize that women are people too. Sad it had to be like just but entitlement comes at a price

Because some citizens of the United States find those laws ineffective in protecting them.

Didn't we already specify that street harassment had to do with verbal harassment? Laws such as stalking, sexual assault, sexual harassment, etc. cover the physical aspect.

Stop talking about shyt no one else is talking about.

All this is covered in existing law.

Women need to know their rights, not expand them to indefensible positions.

I'll admit I didn't read all 31 pages of you all trying to assert the fact that this is black women acting as WM "lapdogs". The one thing I never read was you as BM helping these women when they are being harassed. You all want to talk about unity, but I didn't even read a solution that had any. Maybe if the respectable BM would step in and tell ignorant others that it's inappropriate to harass their women in their presence no less we might not even be having this conversation. I've had men harass me constantly, on the train, bus, walking down the street, etc., and there was always some other man there laughing or just lurking in the shadows. I've even had men come up to me AFTER the fact and say that was rude. Not that they have any responsibility to "save" me, but these are steps that would obviously alleviate the problem. But no one wants to get involved, because you don't know me or some excuse. I don't think law enforcement is the solution though. Y'all talk about sticking together, so next time this happens maybe you as a man should step in. That way, you'll be helping out BM and BW. The woman won't be harassed, and maybe you can help the man understand his actions are not okay, and not be accused of harassment and any further demonization.
