From my perspective as a black woman it is frustrating to see black men, and particularly prominent black men, make a sport out of degrading/disrespecting black women. Everything from prominent black men dating/marrying anyone but a black woman to using the most powerless black women (the poorly educated underclass) as their justification for publicly berating all black women to bashing black women for our looks to dismissing the accomplishments of black women as irrelevant. to placing any and all other races on a pedestal above black women.

Black men bash black women more than the KKK. Actually, many white supremacists use the YouTube videos made by black men who are bashing black women in THEIR materials and links to their sites. And that speaks volumes.

Well when i go to the lipstickalley y'all doin the same thing y'all ACCUSE black men of doing, so I guess we even. No need to talk about it any more.

You're never going to agree. Each side is trying to understand each other's point and you're just not going to. Men are not going to understand the emotions associated with being verbally disrespected in public. They can't. You can't really provide proof of your emotions.

With that said, not EVERY woman feels disrespected by it because some respond positively to it. This woman and the supporters of this movement felt disrespected enough to make it a public issue. I don't think any law is going to help improve the situation though. Like I don't see it necessary for cops to be involved because some dude was being ignorant. I think women could benefit from being assertive, but not aggressive. Like you don't have to curse dude out but you can tell him chill the fukk out because he's making you uncomfortable.
