Still can't forget about Harden's 12 turnovers against the Warriors in the conference finals a few years back, sorry. :yeshrug:

I'll take Westbrook over Harden for MVP all day erreday.
seeing as how old shyt is your rationale, is Westbrook turning the ball over 1000 times in the last few seconds against GSW last year doing anything for you?

Ah, let the Harden stans have their little bit of fun. They won't have much to look forward to when the postseason rolls around.

You're the one in here playing devil's advocate anytime Harden gets love :francis:

We all know Rockets aren't contenders. There's multiple teams with 3 top 20 players. No fukking shyt the Rockets will get booted from the postseason. Harden shouldn't be held to those standards this season, as long as he doesn't under perform.

If he doesn't even finish in the top 3 in the West.... :yeshrug:

In the 2014-15 season his team finished 2nd in the West and he still didn't win, with arguably an inferior team. This year he's in an offense designed to create crazy numbers on the offensive end, but they're still fighting for the 4/5/6 slots and on the other end....

Voters aren't going to be as quick as the Coli to forget that he only plays half the game. :usure:

He typically does, which is why I posted what I did. We know he can get away with this shyt during the regular season, but that all changes in the PS.

Nah. He has some bad games but so does every other super star. He played pretty bad against Portland that one year, but other than that he still played at an elite level for the most part. His shooting percentages dropping are in line with other superstars when the game slows down. Even KD and Bron see huge percentage drops in the postseason. Hell that Portland series was the only series Harden has lost as the favorite, and even then it was a very, very slim favorite. That Portland squad was solid.

But Harden has been a consistent 27/6/6 every post season and I don't see how that's under performing. But I know I'm not changing your mind. Your constant Harden hate rubs me the wrong way at times and I retaliate :yeshrug:

Because you're skipping that he's a 41% shooter (34% from three) and commits 4.4 turnovers/game in the playoffs since he became the main guy. Not to mention that 2/3 of those playoff averages come from the 1st round, because he's only gotten past there once.

The one time he made the WCSF, he shot 40% and averaged 5 turnovers/game and wasn't stopping anybody. Houston would have been destroyed in 5 games, even with CP3 hurt and missing 2 of them, if random scrubs in the 2nd unit hadn't suddenly started playing like all-stars.

When he got to the WCF he played better, but that 2-11 shooting with 12 turnovers and 5 fouls in the closeout game was one of the worst performances by any star in all of playoff history.

Lebron's shooting only drops slightly in the playoffs, and his turnovers don't go up at all. Durant's shooting drop about the same as Harden's do, but his turnovers barely move, and he's not even close to Harden levels of FG% and turnover raw numbers. And that's with both of them having made a lot of deep, tiring runs.

Durant: 5% drop in shooting efficiency (to 46%) and 6% increase in turnovers (to 3.4) in 91 games as the main guy
Lebron: 2% drop in shooting efficiency (to 48%) and 3% increase in turnovers (to 3.5) in 199 games as the main guy

Harden: 5% drop in shooting efficiency (to 41%) and 10% increase in turnovers (to 4.4) in 34 games as the main guy.

To briefly expand on @The Dankster's post, it goes beyond his percentages - it's more about his style of play which has time and time again reared its ugly head in the playoffs. I mean I've already illustrated this to you before. We can't just ignore that his game at its core is still a gimmick and can't be relied upon to carry a team deep in the playoffs.
