I'd go with

Deke
Rodman
Matrix
EJ
Glove

There's only 1 C in which highflyers made it a point every night to claim. They were rejected. Eaton would've been another good one, but Mt. Mutumbo's recovery time is what made him ridiculous.
PFs were loaded with defenders
I could've went with 2 PGs, and it would've been either Stockton or Kidd, or went with Moncrief or Joe D.

My 7 man bench is probably
Eaton
Sheed
Kawhi
Moncrief
Stockton
Dream
Kidd

You're gonna have a hard time getting to your spots, you're getting ripped in the open court, and half court, you have to shoot over long armed athletic guys, you're getting stuffed at the rim, and you're not getting any rebounds

Since cutoff is 75

Payton
Sidney Moncrief
Kawhi
Rodman
Hakeem

You can't go wrong with Hakeem, Robinson, or Mutombo at the 5. Either will do. The same applies to the SG position. Cooper, Tony Allen, or Moncreif.

It’s interesting how defense 5s have a lot more variety than offense 5s. Showcasing how hard it is to gauge defense quality as it’s less statistics and highlight driven.

Case in point: Everyone picked Mutombo on the first page a decade ago, yet his equivalent if not superior version (Gobert) is considered a complete farce and overrated bum in today's league.

Not that prime Ben Wallace is doing any better once put on an island by Luka 25ft out via PnR. All 3 defenders i mentioned were each 4x DPotY winners and played damn near the same way, all would struggle to have the same impact and containment with this pace and space era.

Fucc it - I got a whole squad

Russell
Mailman (I’m already kickin’ ya ass with Bill getting the re and outlet passing to Karl on the break ALL DAY)
Cooper
Alvin Robertson

Stockton (he got more steals than anybody, yo. Plus, pair him with Mailman if I wanna slow down game pace)
——————
Worm (him coming off the bench when the first team was tired got Detroit 2 rings out dis bih)
Ron Harper (most underrated ”role” player OAT IMO; defends 3 position)

Mt. Mutombo
X-Man
Moncrief (I’m gonna play him at PG just to twist the dagger)
Andrew Toney
Bol (IDGAF who you are, you not just running up in the paint with a long-armed 7’7” muffucca in there. You best have a plan)

You consider that Gobert is superior (or equivalent) to Mutombo?:jbhmm:

It's interesting seeing how many folks picked Mutumbo back in 2015 when this thread was started, and yet 10 years later he wouldn't have the same effectiveness on defense in today's climate.
