We came a long ass way from this brehs :wow:

I honestly didn’t see the vision with Cade, he was always hurt at first and didn’t think he could shoot like that. That year they only won 14 games made me a believer though. Even though they sucked, he still kept his head high, and balled out. And most importantly his leadership shined through all the darkness that season. I took note of that & became a fan then. Duren been a grown ass man his whole life it seems :dame: Throw in Asur, Ron Holland, and Ivey coming back :whew: sky’s the limit for those boys. I’m just happy I got to watch their progression as much as I did.

The leadership and maturity part is what's heavily overlooked when I see silly redrafts even now that still have Mobley as Detroit's pick for #1. I don't see anybody but Cade from that draft battling through those dark times and still being the ambassador and face of the franchise and the city, all without really saying anything negative or trying to bytch his way out. The nikka just a leader on and off the court and has come back every season better as a player too. He just understand the assignment.

Facto. You can just look at his peers and see he’s head & shoulders above them when it comes to maturity & leadership. LaMelo, Ja, Ant, Paolo, Zion, even Luka and Hali. Cade & Wemby are the mature best players for their team. Tatum and SGA aged out they’re old nikkas with rings now.

With a franchise like the Pistons and under the ownership they have, the team was basically rudderless in finding the right direction to get out of the muck they were stuck in. They needed more than just somebody that could hoop and provide highlights. That's why with Jalen Green, the way he acted after the draft I knew there was no way he could have carried the franchise. shyt was deeper than rap with rebuilding the Pistons.

hey man, thats really impressive. This time 2 seasons ago they were a laughingstock. Shout out to them for turning things around. Hopefully Cade stays healthy and they can make some noise in the playoffs (win a series)
