I have another friend in a mid-eastern state running for office city council to campaign against gentrification and reinvestment in a historically black community

I have another friend in a southern state working in city government representing black community interests as a civic lawyer

Confederate statues are overt white supremacy because of when they were built (over half-century after civil war) and why they were built (in defense of Jim Crow) and treasonous.
