Timing of this thread is incredible.

I just watched WM17 end to end for the first time ever on Sunday. Was floating in/out of wrestling at the time.

I've watched that Rock/Austin match prior but without following the build up. shyt was crazy, the way Austin was going all out to get that title back, desperation. Then the McMahon swerve to top it off

What a PPV. Also watched the following night on Raw. The way Austin/Haitch/McMahon did the Rock What a beatdown

Then i had the seeing that cuz it made no sense.

That period after WM17 all the way up until the nwo came back is hazy to me because I lost interest and stopped watching.

Worst ending ever, they haven't recovered since.

Disappointed as hell. I understand what they were doing but arguably the most hyped match ever should have ended with a stunner and the greatest 70,000 person 3 count ever

TRASH was thrown in the ring for a face getting beat down in TX...Stone Cold country. The implications at the time Nyggas threw that trash OVER the fukking Cage they were so heated

They would of stayed against Austin with Rock around....he NEEDED the Rock for the heel. No offense to Taker/Jericho/Benoit/Angle...but the Rock was the one with the story and he had been through crazy odds anyway from the previous year and Austin got a ton of heat when he was against the Rock in 2001 in the aftermath later. But it was funny the extremes they went to try to get Austin booed though...the hilarious Lita beatdown..stunning Molly. Bashing Jim Ross in Oklahoma. LOL.
