I put no thought into it because no one is forcing me to listen to them.

I never get how one can be annoyed when they can change the channel.

I usually roll my eyes when an athlete starts talking about how God helped them win or anything of the variety but whatever

They were interviewing a guy from a Bmore sports radios station on the Chicago sports station today.. The guy said that they basically nicknamed Ray Lewis "Red light Ray" because as soon as he sees the camera on him he changes into his character

Negativity (Kayfabe)
No, disrespecting America is frowned upon in America

What disrespect? He exercised his 1st amendment right.

Funny thing is; you two are both right.

"The troops are overseas, dying for our freedoms and rights."

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

*criticizes the USA*

"Really? WHAT DON'T YOU MOVE TO CANADA! AMERICA IS THE GREA..."

We're supposed to appreciate our rights, but, it's frowned upon if we exercise them.

No problem with it, you are free to believe in what you want, just don't use it for cheap pops *Mr Lewis*

Word....when the Ravens won I thought Ray Lewis was going to walk to the 50 yard line and be ascended into heaven.

disrespect is an opinion. he can turn his back on it, :pacspit: on it, and burn it and he's still done nothing wrong

Wrong is an opinion.

Disrespect is not. It was his intent.

The first amendment doesn't protect you from repercussions from expressing your beliefs. If I go into work and tell my boss to go fukk himself, he can fire me and the first amendment won't help.

completely asinine, and a perfect example of how religion is just human arrogance

they all believe in the same god :what: so were supposed to believe that god wanted to give some of them the strength to win, and tough shyt for the other team :laff:

or how about the fact that while these athletes are competing in these stunning displays of american commercialism and greed, the other people god is watching over are eating rat carcasses and dying of malaria

1, not every player, with a religion, is Ray Lewis.

I think Tebow gets a bad rap, when, his only problem was lettin' the media blow him up.

I saw nothing wrong with him praying after TDs, but, I'm not exactly sure he didn't have a thing to do with himself becoming a spectacle.

I hope one of the coli brehs school me on that (Tebow and his involvement in his media stature). I've heard little things, here and there, but, Tebow seems cool with cashing out, on it.

Back on topic; I don't see why not. But, when you start declaring a higher power wants you to win, you start losin' me and I could understand ppl becomin' upset.

But, again, there aren't too many Ray Lewis' out there. So ppl should chill out and not make that a issue about all athletes. I don't even know how Lin's religion even comes into the question.
I think i remember hearing that he's been doing it ever since high school :manny:
