Man, what is up with you nikkas comparing some bums in your scrubby ass rec league to the greatest shooter of all time? :laff:
because the concepts are the same. how to deal with prolific shooters. and i wouldnt call some of the dudes i've played against bums. quite a few of them made money after they went to d1 schools and did well by playing overseas, playing semi pro ball, some and 1(now ballup) guys and some ex pros, some current pros just coming to hoop(nick young, jrue holiday, etc.

you have to play people understand their tendencies and what they like to do. that does not change with tougher competition. it remains the same.

They can just do what they do best so well its extremely difficult to stop it with conventional defenses and/or the average joe defender.

what i'm saying is, the exact same thing Thibbs did to kobe can be done to curry. not the same defense. but a defense thats setup to stop him from doing what he likes. that hasnt happened yet because curry and the warriors are ahead of the curve right now. the defenses even for the good defensive teams have not caught up to this style of offense yet. it may be a few years before that happens. but it can happen. believe that.

Nobody in the NBA knows how to stop the dude and you gonna ask nikkas in the Coli? :mjlol:
you do understand basketball schemes/defenses are not rocket science. you do realize quite a few ex players are coaches now. you do realize most athletes are not the biggest brains on the block right? so yes, some non nba guys that love to watch and have played enough organized basketball could actually come up with schemes that are legit. yes its possible. and yes its possible that the nba has not figured it out but some bruh on the coli has. that is possible. is it probable? ehhh probably not. but it is possible.

you can tell just because you're involved in the nba at certain capacities doesnt make you good at your job. it means you are connected. how many BAD GM's are their in the nba? a lot. there are bruhs on the coli that could do a better job of choosing who to sign, trade for, who to scoop in the draft ect. than a lot of these GM's. some dudes on the coli could easily be scouts on nba teams.

Do you Coli knee grows not realize the Warriors are the best TEAM in the league? "Stop" Curry all you want and still lose by 10-15 points, brehs.
you dont just stop curry. that is a silly thing to do. you flip what gstates is use to doing into things you would rather them do.

if you start making people do things that dont normally do, they are more susceptible to mistakes. if you dont make them do anything different than what they practice all the time and know like the back of their hand. they make a lot less mistakes.

you make slow teams speed up. you make fast teams, slow down.
you make shooter teams, go to the rack.
you bait passing teams into taking shots early in the clock or over dribbling and you make sure the worse passer on the team is the one with the ball in his hands the most often. sometimes that means back off the guy to make him look wide open. so he has to get the ball. while you play a zonish defense. then when he catches it. you still half play defense on him.

for example. if there's is a terrible guy on the team that cant score unless he's right under the basket. you back way off of him so he can get the ball more often. so you can then steal the ball from him, block his shots, and make him turn the ball over. remember this one guy sucks. let the suck guy have the ball. but a lot of teams are trained to play up in their man. they dont use common sense and not be robots and understand WHO they are playing. nba teams do this also. especially the bad ones. bad defensive teams play everyone the same way expecting the same outcome.

the reason the above isnt easy. because its not the way most teams play, its not the way most players were taught to play defense. everyone is taught. guard your man or play a zone. trap trap trap or press press press. most coaches are not that well rounded to teach team show to disrupt people's offenses by baiting them into things they dont usually do. the great coaches are. but remember their are 1000's of coaches. and most players were not coached by greats. most were coached by average to below average coaches their entire careers until getting into the nba. and if your team sucks. odds are your coach still aint that hot.

a lot of yall are from cities that watch other teams that have been losing for decades. so you know nothing about a winning culture and what he takes to defeat certain opponents. because if a team isnt your team that you watch closely. you are not paying attention to the nuances of how they win. i'm in cali, in L.A. been here. been a laker fan since since. i've since pat riley, phil jackson, i've listened to stu lance and old chick before he died. these dudes know their basketball probably moreso than any other people in the nba. when you hang around that kind of winning the mentality will rub off on you.

i can tell by the type of people a lot of you guys want to trade from your teams and trade for to get on your teams or pick up in drafts that yall have been watching average to bad teams your entire lives. you have no idea what type of components it takes to win multiple rings. yall are just saying what you hear on sports talk and espn.

Stop him by putting him in the pick and roll and make him defend. Then have your point guard who he was hiding from on defense bust his ass

Curry #s aint drop because he forgot how to make 3's.. Nikka was forced to play D, or try to play D

Take away kd and klay or play him in the finals.

Regular Season Steph turns into Seth Curry in the Finals.

right answer to a different question. The question wasnt how to beat the warriors. which we all know now is No Klay, No KD, a 30% Cousins, a 60% looney, and 70% Iggy, and a 85% steph(finger injury caused all sorts of unforced To's).

But back to the original question. How to stop step. Since the refs dont respect the man like a true superstar. they respect james flopping harden more. So all you need to do is send 2 all the time. and make sure at least one of the two guys are long and strong. the refs wont call the grabbing/holding.

Now klay will kill you off the pass but pick your poison. this was how to stop STEP, not how to win.
