Idk if I would equate vocabulary to being a gentleman however, I'm not sure exactly how the creator means "gentleman."

I have a new hire who is young skinny guy. Not the strongest vocabulary but he's level headed, gracious and respectfully. I would consider him a gentleman even though he's young and not necessarily "refined."

There is literally no excuse to not know how to properly pronounce the words in your vocabulary and lacking the ability to speak with grace aside from intellectual laziness and complacency with being a dullard.
