No, for one it was a Menace to society reference...especially considering the smart dumb/hypocritical angle that you can/should use to attack nas in a battle at that time, some nikka with rims and all the shyt other nikkas got, trying to stunt, don't wanna talk "knowledge" and unity until it serves his own needs.



As for "kicking knowledge" on a large scale, in the way of conscious rap, that shyt was played out way before that line...and while I feel there should always be some balance and social commentary, you'd be just as stupid to downplay that "conscious" eras importance as you would to think that it was going to be (or should) always be at the forefront.
